Shailene Woodley is getting candid about life after her engagement to Aaron Rodgers.
The couple secretly got engaged during the pandemic and the Green Bay QB announced it during his 2020 acceptance speech for NFL MVP Award at NFL Honors.
While accepting the award for “Most Valuable Player,” Rodgers said, “2020 was definitely a crazy year filled with lots of change, growth, some amazing, memorable moments. One hundred-eighty straight days of having my nose hair scraped, a plan for very little fans or no stands the entire season, I got engaged, and I played some of the best football of my career."

Unfortunately, their relationship and engagement were short-lived due to several factors.
The couple had “agreed to disagree” on controversial subjects, like Rodgers’ vocal opposition to the COVID-19 vaccine. One insider told PEOPLE that “they fell hard and fast, but it was a mismatch from the start.”
Another main point of contention during their relationship was their differing, hectic work schedules.
Woodley opened up to PORTER Magazine about how her personal relationships played a role in her recent project, “Three Women.”

“It was hard to film because I was going through the darkest, hardest time in my life,” the actress admitted. “It was winter in New York, and my personal life was s**tty, so it felt like a big pain bubble for eight months.”
Filming on “Three Women” began in the fall of 2021 and wrapped in May 2022.
Woodley didn’t outright mention her ex-fiancé by name, but it is worth noting that the couple’s split was confirmed in February 2022.
“I was so grateful that at least I could go to work and cry and process my emotions through my character,” Woodley explained.

She “found a lot of comfort and inspiration” from the show’s writer and producer, Lisa Taddeo.
“I’ve always loved getting older, but it’s almost like I feel an exhale,” she explained. “I’ve been waiting so long to experience not giving a f**k about what other people think about me and my life and the choices I make.”
Woodley shed light on this in a since-deleted June 2022 Instagram post.
The post is no longer available, but the caption once read, “To the month of June : putting macro whack world events aside for a minute, on a micro level, you nurtured this woman’s head + heart. You gave me oxygen in the form of friends, babies, trees, magic, DANCING, animals, salt, sun, deep conversations, six packs from laughing, availability in the form of tears, PLAY, sunrises, hallway tag, goofiness, spontaneity, pita bread (so much pita!), hellos and goodbyes,” she continued to divulge. “A beautiful wise Italian in New York told me this would be the best month ever, and he was not wrong. (no shame shoutout: his name is Dante Sabatino + if you go to his website you may be stoked). (www.tarotbydante.com). god I’m grateful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Woodley added in her PORTER Magazine interview, “I’m so excited to continue letting go of so many of the things that controlled me in my twenties; to really experience the joy of life in a way that, when you’re younger, is more difficult to experience – because it’s controlled by the way you were raised instead of the identity that you create as your own person.”
