Olivia Munn Is 'Not Prepared' As Son Malcom Keeps Doing Grown Up Things

Olivia Munn is finding it difficult watching her son maturing and becoming more independent as the day goes by!

The mom of one who has been updating her fans regularly on her motherhood journey via social media recently revealed how her son, Malcolm, whom she welcomed with her partner John Mulaney, keeps learning new things.

Munn shared the news on her Instagram page, and although it's a thing to be proud of as a parent, the mama bear appears to have mixed feelings about the exciting development.  

The "Ride Along 2" actress seems to be taking her mommy role seriously and isn't ready to stop doing them! She revealed that her son, Malcolm, handled things like a pro in the house without her help.

Taking to her Instagram account, Munn shared a short clip featuring her one-year-old son going about his business inside their cozy home. The adorable little one donned "Burt's Bees" baby unisex pajamas in the video and successfully attempted to open an off-white painted door. 

After slightly opening the door, Malcolm realized he was being filmed by his parents and proceeded to crawl back to meet them. His famous daddy, Mulaney, chipped in the video, exclaiming, "You opened it," while a less enthusiastic Munn attached a caption to the clip, writing, "He's opening doors now??? Further adding, oh no… I'm not prepared! Aggghh"!

Her followers, who were blown away by the simple act, rushed to her comment section to throw in their two cents. Starting with her partner Mulaney, who joked, "I should teach him to knock first."

A fan referenced a legendary movie, writing, "Remember in "Jurassic Park," when the raptors were able to open doors? I was just reminded of that, for some reason #lifefindsaway ?"

Another jokingly wrote, "Get ready for the "mommy and daddy are just wrestling" cover up stories…. ?." While a third advised the actress, writing, "Time to start baby proofing the handles. Baby proofing sometimes messes with us dads as well, so don't be surprised if you have to open a door for @johnmulaney from time to time. ?"

While the mama bear has been enjoying being a mom to her baby boy, she has also encountered challenges along the way, like every other parent out there.

Per The Blast, the "X-Men: Apocalypse" actress showed fans her realistic routine as a mom of a toddler and posted several short clips on her Instagram Story, revealing the struggles her son faced since he started teething.

In one of the videos, the family was up all night in their living room as Mulaney carried his son on his lap. The stand-up comedian looked comfortable dressed in a dark brown t-shirt and black sweatpants while their son donned an oversized sky-blue animal print wearable blanket.

The doting dad read out loud a children's playbook to Malcolm and kept him distracted from focusing on the discomfort he was experiencing from the teething.

Munn, who didn't feature in the video, was presumably the cameraman behind the video, capturing the precious moment.

Explaining to fans why they were awake at that time, she wrote in her caption, "We were awakened by a screaming Malcolm…" and added the time, "12:14 AM."

In the following clip, which featured the father and son duo still reading the playbook, Munn further elaborated, writing, "He's teething again…"

Before the teething debacle, Munn and Mulaney made their son's one-year birthday celebration a special one filled with love and lots of cake.

As reported, the proud mama shared the heartwarming moments with her fans by posting a carousel of pictures on Instagram. 

In the snaps, Malcolm sat on his dad's lap dressed in a white shirt and gray shorts, and on his head was a brown crochet crown with "1' on it. The "Saturday Night Live" writer twinned with his son and wore a similar outfit.

On the other hand, the "'Magic Mike" actress donned a green wrap dress that featured a slit as she held onto a chocolate cake decorated with an elephant trunk and pink ears.

In almost every snap on the carousel, the birthday boy appeared to be having the time of his life as he stuffed his face with chocolate cake and even stained his shirt in the process.

Sweetly captioning the post, Mulaney gushed, writing, "Just got back from celebrating ONE YEAR of the most joyful baby being in this world and in our lives. My son, my joy. Happiest Birthday Malcolm Hiêp! I love you so so so much."
