Candace Cameron Bure Leans On Laughter On Anniversary Of Bob Saget's Passing

Candace Cameron Bure is leaning on laughter to help grieve Bob Saget on the one-year anniversary of his untimely death.

The "Full House" actor and comedian tragically passed away on January 9th, 2022 from what was later revealed to be a brain bleed due to blunt force trauma, in Flordia. Saget was on tour and had just completed a performance; the 65-year-old had told the venue's showrunner he did not "feel good" prior to performing.

A number of celebrities have taken to social media to commemorate Saget, including one of his "Full House" daughters, Candace Cameron Bure. Bure, now 46, played the eldest Tanner daughter D.J. on the series.

Saget's legacy has been kept alive by those closest to him via social media.

His widow, Kelly Rizzo, has been quite open throughout her grieving process, often sharing it with her followers on social media.

Several of Saget's "Full House" co-stars have also been transparent in sharing their grieving process in the year since his passing. After news of his passing was revealed, John Stamos tweeted, "I am broken. I am gutted. I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby."

Jodie Sweetin, who played the middle Tanner child, revealed how she felt her TV father's presence with her on her wedding day in July.

Sweetin revealed in an interview that Stamos had "accidentally picked a shirt previously owned by Saget" and she had felt this had been the moment where she could tell Saget was present in spirit, according to a report from The Blast.

Dave Coulier, who played Danny Tanner's close friend Joey Gladstone in the series, took to Twitter to pay tribute to his co-star.

"My heart is broken. I love you Bob. Your forever brother, Dave," the actor tweeted. (per The Blast)

Cameron Bure would also join her "Full House" co-stars in publicly mourning Saget's death.

The new face of the Great American Family TV network would discuss her feelings in a number of Instagram posts in 2022, and would also reveal how she had been able to process her grief.

According to one of The Blast's pieces of coverage on Saget's passing, Cameron Bure told People she "wants to talk about Bob" in order to help keep his legacy alive. She also added she wants to "share things about Bob and share about the laughs and the good times, and that part feels comforting" to her.

A few days after Saget's passing, the former Hallmark Channel star took to Instagram to share her favorite aspects about her beloved TV father.

"Oh, Bob. Why did you have to leave us so soon?" Cameron Bure wrote in her post from January 11th, "We were all family, but you were the glue. The sticky, messy, squishy, sweet, lovable glue. My childhood is wrapped up in you, my formative teenaged years, and the rest of adulthood..." she would continue.

The actress' desire to talk about her late friend on social media has not dwindled in the least.

For the one-year anniversary of Saget's passing, Cameron Bure shared a photo set on Instagram, in which she reveals how she commemorated his death.

"I stayed up for hours watching videos of Bob on my phone," Cameron Bure wrote, "Videos I couldn't watch a year ago because it hurt too much. Last night they made me laugh," she added along with a laughing emoji. "They comforted me and warmed my heart. I watched them over and over and laughed so hard. I miss him so much and I'm grateful he was my friend for so many years. I love you Bob," she wrote.

"Now go hug a friend like Bob would," she told her followers in closing.

Cameron Bure's daughter Natasha left a heart emoji on her mother's post.

"Love to your heart," "The Wonder Years" actress and Cameron Bure's friend Danica McKellar wrote.

"You guys had such a HUGE impact on my childhood," one of Cameron Bure's followers wrote, "I will forever be so sorry for the loss of Bob."

"Bob, yourself and cast got a lot of people through difficult times with great smiles and laughter," another follower commented. "I hope you find peace and enjoyment watching him."
