YouTube Star Keenan Cahill Dead at 27, Weeks After Open Heart Surgery

YouTuber Keenan Cahill who rose to fame lip-syncingto a Katy Perry song has passed away two weeks after surgery.

The YouTuber was 27 years old and reportedly died on Thursday. As of now, the cause of death is unknown but Cahill was diagnosed with was diagnosed Maroteaux–Lamy syndrome, a genetic disorder.
He also shared on Instagram a week before his December 15 surgery that the surgery was taking place and that it was in fact an open heart surgery. Cahill rose to fame in 2010 when his lip-syncing videos went viral and garnered attention from celebrities like 50 Cent and Jimmy Kimmel.
Katy Perry, whose song garnered him the most attention, held a special bond with Cahill and helped his career move along.
Keenan Cahill Hosted Celebrities
Cahill’s YouTube channel became so popular that he hosted a few celebs of his own like Perry and Justin Bieber. He would duet with the best of them and also appeared in a music video with Sara Barilles called “Uncharted” with Adam Levine, Sia, and Ryan Tedder.
He also had the fun opportunity to perform on stage at the 2011 American Music Awards with LMFAO. Most recently, the influencer was working on his own music.
He had posted about new music coming out after informing his fans of his surgery. The song titled “Rain” was teased 3 weeks ago and is featuring Jillian Jensen.
