Kim Kardashian Likes Beige
The reality star has revealed a lot of juicy goods recently and one of them included what life is like behind the closed doors of her L.A. home. On "Angie Martinez's IRL" Podcast this week, Kim talked about her $60 million dollar mansion in Calabasas.
By now, whoever cares has seen some of the insides of Kim’s home when she goes all out for special occasions or if she is just really obsessed with her latest décor. Those small glimpses showed fans that Kim loves her some neutral tones.
She has bragged in the past about her love for basic colors and incorporates them into everything she does especially her Skims clothing line and the packaging for her Skkn products.
Kim Kardashian Wants People Around Her To Look The Same
“When I post pictures of my house, [social media followers are] either like, 'wow, this is so minimal and crazy' or they get it. But I love it,” insists the mom of four. Clever Angie asked Kim if this goes for her house staff as well, she confirmed that it certainly does.
“Absolutely,” claims Kardashian. “I have uniforms.” Realizing that may sound like a bit much, she goes on to clarify that she wouldn’t really call them uniforms, she prefers a specific color palette for them to choose from.
“grays, heather gray, black, navy, white, cream, khaki,” are what Kim prefers. “I mean, we can stick with all neutrals. Not a lot of color blocking,” she says, loosening up a bit on the rules. Kim also insisted that her staff is so on board with the modern uniforms.
Kim Kardashian Isn't Forcing Anyone
The entrepreneur claims “My house is so zen, so I asked how everyone felt about it and everyone actually said, ‘that would make our life so easy,’” she claims. “And once everyone was on board and thought it would be easier for them, I was like 'yes, let's do this.”
Since she runs her home like a business, Kim joked that she should throw in some fun wardrobe options on special occasions, “a free dress day on their birthdays or something.”
The mega mansion was a mere $20 million when Kim bought it in 2013 with her now ex-husband Kanye West. They famously didn’t move into the home until 2017 because it was being completely re-done and West was really struggling to find out which couch was best for his home.
Kanye West Is Out
The DailyMail revealed that in her divorce, West signed the rights of the home over to Kim and didn’t really put up much of a fight to keep it or have her sell it and split the profits. the divorce took two-long years to resolve.
The most important part of the divorce is her children. North, 9, Saint, 7, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3 who the couple now shared joint custody of. Kim got emotional speaking about co-parenting with West who has Bipolar disorder and often has very long and public breakdowns.
“I had the best dad. I don't want to get emotional. It has just been a day for me,” she shockingly revealed to Angie. “It's hard. S*** like co-parenting it's really f***ing hard you know.”
At least Kim can take refuge in her beautiful, minimalist home with staff that literally blends into the walls if need be.
