The reality star and the rapper shared four kids, North, 9; Saint, 7; Chicago, 4; and Psalm, 3, during their time together.

Kim filed for divorce from Kanye on February 19, 2021, after six years of marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split at the time. The pair finalized their divorce in November 2022.

The duo agreed to co-parent their children since they separated in 2021. Kim has now acknowledged that it has been challenging to share the joint parenthood responsibility with the "Donda" hitmaker who she claims to be protecting.

During her appearance on "Angie Martinez IRL" podcast, Kim got candid about raising her children North, 9, Saint, 7, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3, with her ex-husband Kanye.

She shared that it's difficult to co-parent with Kanye due to his online social media antics, which have landed him in a pool of trouble on several occasions.

"Co-parenting is hard," the reality star bluntly remarked while speaking with her host on Monday's episode, per Page Six. "It's really f***ing hard."

The pair have been co-parenting the quartet since the reality star filed for divorce in the first quarter of 2021. Following the filing, Kim and Kanye were embroiled in a drawn-out legal proceeding to finalize the divorce, which ended in November 2022.

Kanye's anti-semitic antics have taken a heavy toll on Kim even as she tries to protect her children from their father's constant problematic behavior.

She shared during the podcast her reason for making sure her kids are out of the loop on conversations about their father, explaining she wanted them to experience their father only with good memories.

"I had the best dad[Robert], and I had the best memories and the greatest experience, and that's all I want for my kids as long as they can have that," she said, per Page Six.

Kim added, "That's what I would want for them. If they don't know the things that are being said or what's happening in the world, why would I ever bring that energy to them? That's really heavy grown-up s–t that they're not ready to deal with."

When her kids finally inquire about their dad's public transgressions, the Skims founder claimed she would be "so prepared" to answer their question. However, she plans to continue keeping them out of the loop.

"One day, my kids will thank me for sitting here and not bashing their dad when I could," Kim said. "All the crazy sh*t. They'll thank me, and I'll privately answer anything that they want to know. It's not my place anymore to jump in."

Despite her determination to uphold her decision, "The Kardashians" star finds it almost impossible to maintain it as Kanye frequently adds a new misdeed to his previous ones.
