Doting mum Olivia Munn seems to have her hands full as she navigates parenthood alongside her partner John Mulaney, and they raise their one-month-old son, Malcolm.
Munn, who has been very open with sharing her motherhood journey and all the beautiful moments that come with being a new parent, appears to be experiencing the hard part.
Taking to Instagram, she revealed how life has been of late for her and the stand-up comedian as their baby boy Malcolm recently began teething. The pair, who became romantically linked in May 2021, announced they were pregnant with their bundle of joy in September of that same year.
Olivia Munn Shares With Her Followers The Less Enthusiastic Part Of Parenting
The mother of one showed the real, raw, and less talked about part of raising a child. Munn revealed that she and her partner were awake all night catering to their son's needs and concerned for their son's well-being.
Showcasing a glimpse of her current reality, she posted several short clips on her Instagram story that featured the father of her child, Mulaney, and their son Malcolm.
In the video, the comedian carried his son on his lap as they sat in their living room at the peak of the night. The loving dad donned a dark brown t-shirt and black sweatpants while Malcolm had on an oversized sky-blue animal print wearable blanket.
They were seated on a light cream couch as Mulaney read out loud a children's playbook to his son and had him fully engaged in order to distract him from the discomfort he was experiencing.
Although the "Dickinson" actor looked exhausted, his priority was more focused on his son and making sure he felt better. Munn, on the other hand, appeared to be the person behind the camera capturing the moment.
Adding a caption to the short video, she wrote, "We were awakened by a screaming Malcolm…" and also added the time, which read, "12:14 AM."
The following slide showed the father and son engrossed in their story time with the book titled "Busy, Busy World," written by Richard Scarrys.
Baby Malcolm seemed to enjoy reading the book as he kept holding onto it. In the accompanying caption, the "New Girl" actress revealed why they were all awake at that time, writing, "He's teething again…"
In another slide, the father and son duo were locked in a tight embrace as the comedian lovingly cradled his son while standing in the middle of the sitting room. The mama bear added to the picture, "Looks like we'll be having a Christmas molar🎄🦷."
In a final post shared to her story, the talented actress displayed her tired face as she donned a white robe and had no makeup on. She looked extremely exhausted and had her hair in a messy updo.
The Dedicated Parents Earlier Celebrated Their Son As He Clocked A Year Old
Although currently, things are a bit hectic for the duo, they previously had a blast commemorating their son's first birthday, which was filled with a whole lot of chocolate cake.
Per The Blast, Munn took to her Instagram to share a carousel of pictures featuring their adorable son and his famous dad.
The celebrant, who was seated on his dad's thighs, donned a white shirt and gray shorts and had a brown crochet crown with "1" on it placed on his head. In almost every snap posted by the proud mum, Malcolm had his mouth stuffed with chocolate cake as he appeared to have found his new favorite food.
Captioning the sweet post, Munn wrote, "Just got back from celebrating ONE YEAR of the most joyful baby being in this world and in our lives. My son, my joy. Happiest Birthday Malcolm Hiêp! I love you so so so much."
Baby Malcolm Displayed His Impressive New Skill To His Parents
The "Iron Man 2" actress did not hesitate to show off her child's exciting milestone to the world. Back in October, The Blast reported Munn took to her Instagram, where she shared a heartwarming video of her son mouthing out the first few words he learned.
Her then 11-month-old baby tried saying the word car, and after several attempts, he finally got it out, causing a happy reaction from his dad, Mulaney, who in turn said in the video, "He really is making that sound."
Munn went ahead to caption the post, writing, "His first word was Daddy/Dada 😍, his second word was chó (Vietnamese for dog), and his third word is car 🚘."
