Justin Bieber is set to hit a significant deal in his career.

The pop star rose to fame in his teenage years with his debut studio album “My World 2.0,” which achieved commercial success. The artist went on to release other successful albums, which earned him several awards and nominations.

The R&B singer has also had six tours in general, with his recent tour, Justice World, being canceled for reasons of mental health.

In addition to Bieber’s musical accomplishments is a recent deal with IP investment company, Hipgnosis Songs Capital, to sell his music rights.

The “Baby” singer will be cashing out roughly $200 million if he sells his music rights to the newly established music investment company, Hipgnosis Songs Capital.

According to reports, the sale would contain the 28-year-old hitmaker’s publishing and recorded music catalog. It would include all six studio albums in Bieber’s name thus far, remixes and singles, and other notable tracks from the artist, such as the 2017′s “Despacito” remix.

However, the news outlet opined that even though the deal would be a big win if it closed, investing in music with a low life span is considered a more significant risk than purchasing the rights to years-old work.

This logic stems from the fact that people tend to listen to new music when it’s initially released but often, its popularity wanes over time.

Another pop artist who also made a similar deal is Justin Timberlake. The “Mirrors” singer sold his song catalog rights to the same company in 2022, but for a lesser price than Bieber. Reportedly, the rights of the former NSYNC star went for $100 million.

Merck Mercuriadis runs the investment company Hipgnosis Songs Capital. He is an alleged prime figure in the value of recent sales for music rights, who had previously mentioned managing famous singers like Beyoncé and Elton John.

The reported acquisition comes a few days after H& M responded to Bieber’s claims of not approving their new merchandise, which featured him.

Per The Blast, it happened that the “Ghost” singer wrote a disclaimer on his Instagram stories. It read, “I DIDN’T APPROVE ANY OF THE MERCH COLLECTING THAT THEY PUT UP AT H&M.. all without permission and approval. SMH I WOULDN’T BUY IT IF I WERE YOU.”

Bieber followed it up with, “The H&M MERCH THEY MADE OF ME IS TRASH AND I DIDN’T APPROVE IT. DON’T BUY IT.”

A fan page of the artist, @jbiebertraacker detailed that the clothing line included a short sweatshirt dress with a black-and-white picture of Bieber and a bright pink oversize hoodie reading: “I miss you more than life.” which is a line from Bieber’s hit song, “Ghost.” Additionally, there was a tote bag with Bieber’s pictures in the collection.

Replying to this post, the “Anyone” singer said, “When everyone finds out I didn’t approve any of this merch smh ?‍♂️.”

H&M saw this disclaimer and issued a statement through their spokesperson. The statement read, “As with all other licensed products and partnerships, H&M followed proper approval procedures.”

The statement also noted that the brand respects their collaboration with the artist, and as such, they’ve removed all the said merchandise.

It would appear that Bieber’s hobby is playing dress up, and fans can concur with this as they’ve seen the artist wear several disguises.

Last month, we reported that the Drew founder wore a disguise that had fans guessing who he tried to portray. The singer shared a photo of himself in a black wig with side bangs coupled with a fluffy overall and accessorized with black sunglasses. The picture captured the singer in a car seat, staring at his phone.

Captioning the image, the singer fished some bragging rights saying, “I look good, I smell good, I feel good. And I make love good.”

Fans and other celebrities took guesses at who the “Baby” singer tried to portray. E! News host Jason Kennedy asked the singer, “is that you, hon?” A fan jokingly asked Bieber’s wife, Hailey Bieber, to affirm the singer’s boast. “I need Hailey’s comment on this, so I know it’s true,” the fan wrote.

An observer asked, “Blacktop big t-shirt Billie Eilish?” while another opined that the pop star resembled  Edna Moda, a fictional character in the Pixar animated superhero film “The Incredibles.”
