Carly Simon is not feeling vain about the recent viral success of her 1972 hit "You're So Vain!"

Simon's hit song has experienced a viral resurgence in recent weeks on TikTok, with a little help from Kate Hudson!

"You're So Vain," which features backing vocals from Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, is prominently featured in the beloved 2003 rom-com starring Hudson and Matthew McConaughey. Hudson's character Andie Anderson seeks to write a memorable article as a journalist for her magazine job, which inspires an accidental romance with McConaughey's advertising exec character, Benjamin Berry.

Andie performs a rendition of "You're So Vain" twice and includes her own lyrics. In one performance she adlibs the lyrics, "and other girls dream they'd be Ben's partner, they'd be Ben's partner..."

This particular refrain has become a popular TikTok sound lately, with users creating countless TikToks around the song!

Simon, 79, is aware of "You're So Vain"s TikTok success! Footage of the songstress reacting to her trending sound has surfaced on social media as well.

Hudson, who is an active user of the social media app, is also aware of "You're So Vain's" popularity on TikTok, and she couldn't be more excited! According to E!, the actress was tipped off about the song and film's success on TikTok by her son!

Hudson appeared on a recent episode of TODAY wherein she discussed the viral sound and the impact of "How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days."

"That was so much fun, and I think that [line] was adlibbed, they'd be Ben's partner" Hudson explained, "A lot of that movie was me just me going nuts. It was like getting in that character and just going for it."

Hudson also revealed last month that she and McConaughey would be game to film a sequel if the idea ever presented itself!

"We both have the same feeling about it," she said, "if for some reason a great idea came across our desk and it read well, yeah I'd totally revisit it. I love working with Matthew." Of the potential film's plot, Hudson theorized, "I don't know, I'm sure it would start with marital conflict. Or maybe, I have no idea. 'How To Lose A Husband In 20 Years?''

Five decades after "You're So Vain" was originally released, one of Simon's signature songs experiencing a resurgence of success appears to thrill her!

The Instagram account @commentsbycelebs reposted a TikTok containing footage of Simon reacting to "You're So Vain" appearing in a TikTok earlier on Tuesday.

Simon is seen watching a TikTok containing a compilation of scenes from the film, raising her arms in delight, and cheering "Fantastic!"

@commentsbycelebs' post also features a screenshot of Hudson's reaction to the video. She commented a heart-faced emoji!

"How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days" will celebrate its 20th anniversary on January 27th!
