Backstreet Boys Are Standing Behind Nick Carter Amid Tumultuous Legal Battle

Backstreet’s back…ing Nick Carter, alright, amid his legal battle.

The boy band has made is clear, they support the singer following allegations that he raped a fan on their tour bus.

AJ McLean was bombarded by paparazzi at Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday, December 15th and asked about his thoughts regarding Nick’s legal troubles.

The singer and recovering addict stood firm in his stance that Nick is an innocent man.

The paparazzi asked McLean if he believed they were being treated fairly after their holiday special, “A Very Backstreet Holiday,” was canceled by ABC.

“It’s an ongoing legal thing and we all stand behind Nick, we all fully support him and we love him,” McLean said before adding, “He’s doing as good as he can.”

Nick maintains his innocence.

McLean said the BSB “couldn’t be more solid.”

We previously reported that a BSB fan filed a lawsuit against Nick on grounds that he forced her to perform a sexual act on him in 2001.

On Thursday, December 8th, a woman named Shannon “Shay” Ruth and her lawyers did a Facebook Live press conference in which she accused the Backstreet Boys singer of raping her.

Not only that, she said it happened in 2001 when she was just 17 years old.

Ruth is autistic and has cerebral palsy.

“The last 21 years have been filled with pain, confusion, frustration shame and self-harm that are a direct result of Nick Carter raping me,” the now 39-year-old alleged. “Even though I’m autistic and live with cerebral palsy, I believe that nothing has affected me more or had a more lasting impact on my life than what Nick Carter did and said to me.”

To make matters even worse, Ruth claims that following the rape, Nick called her a “retarded b**ch.”

“After he raped me, I remember him calling me a ‘retarded b**ch’ and grabbing me and leaving bruises on my arm,” she further claimed. “Carter tried to scare me into silence… he was nasty and threatening.”

Ruth explained why it’s taken her so long to speak out.

She was afraid she’d “go to jail” if she told anyone what allegedly happened between her and Carter.

However, Ruth has a new outlook on the situation and her primary goal is to “stop” the singer from “assaulting more teens and women.”

She wants to “hold Nick Carter accountable.”

Ruth concluded, “Just because Nick Carter is a celebrity does not mean that he is excused from his crimes. I am a survivor and always will be.”

Her lawyer, Mark J. Boskovich, also took the stand to reveal three other women under the pseudonym “Jane Doe” are named in a joint lawsuit filed alongside Ruth.

“Nick Carter has a long history of abusing women,” Boskovich said, and added the music industry has turned a blind eye to it.

“Shay is determined to bring Carter to justice,” Boskovich said. “She believes it’s worth it to protect other women.”

Per legal documents, Ruth claims she was invited to Carter’s tour bus following a concert she attended in Tacoma, WA., after standing in an autograph line.

She alleges he offered her a red drink which he called “VIP juice.” Ruth believes it was a mixture of alcohol and cranberry juice.

Mind you she was 17-years-old at this point in time.

Per the lawsuit, Carter allegedly ordered Ruth to perform oral sex on him as she burst into tears.

She added he took her to a bed on the tour bus and sexually assaulted her, even though she was a virgin at the time.

Ruth alleged that she got HPV (Human papillomavirus), a sexually transmitted disease, following the rape. She is seeking monetary damages for the alleged crime.

This isn’t his first time being accused of sexually assaulting someone.

In 2017, Melissa Schuman, a former member of Dream, claimed Carter sexually assaulted her when she was 18-years-old and he was 22-years-old.

News of his latest alleged sexual assault lawsuit comes just over a month after his younger brother passed away from drowning in his bathtub.
