Serene Russell Addresses Why She Didn't Have Her Engagement Ring On

Serene Russell first appeared in the “Bachelor” franchise during Clayton Echard‘s season. The 27-year-old teacher finished the competition in fourth place, getting sent home right after hometowns.

She then went on to “Bachelor In Paradise” where she found true love with her now fiancé, Brandon Jones. However, fans got nervous when Serene posted her latest photoshoot to Instagram because she did not have her engagement ring on.

The 27-year-old teacher from Oklahoma posted the above photo from a photoshoot where she stunned braless in an orange fur coat. However, fans were not paying attention to the fact that she was topless -- they were worried because she was ringless!

"Where’s her ring tho ?," one fan commented as another chimed in, "Already broke up? Where is the ring?"

Luckily, Serene addressed why she was not wearing her engagement ring, reassuring fans that her and Brandon are still going strong.

She shared a photo to her Instagram Story of her and her fiancé while holding her hand up, with the ring on, explaining, “Y’all when I model, sometimes there’s gonna be a shoot without my ring on, especially if it took place before the finale so before I could wear it out.”

During the finale of “Bachelor In Paradise” Season 8, Serene Russell confessed her loved to Brandon Jones at the podium.

“Brandon, I have always yearned for a life-changing love, but I had never seen it or experienced it firsthand. But then I met you,” Serene began. “I feel like we have two hearts cut from the same cloth and I have never felt more seen or understood in my entire life. In you, I have found my best friend, my missing puzzle piece and my soulmate. I love you so much and I’m never going to take that for granted.”

It was then Brandon's turn, to which he said, “Serene Brook Russell, I love you. I love you in every sense of the word. You are this ever-lasting spark that has hit me so hard and I have come to the beautiful realization that from the moment I saw you, my happily ever after could’ve never started until I started a life with you."

He then got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. “I will love you until the end of the time. I will love you until my last breath. … Serene Brook Russell, will you make me the happiest man to walk this earth? Will you marry me?”

The two are still engaged and are currently planning their future together. “We are really excited for wedding planning,” Serene told PEOPLE after the “Bachelor In Paradise” finale.

“We’ve landed on 2024, and we’re starting to think what time of year we want to get married in, what kind of wedding we like, do we want it more in the day or at night? We’re starting to have these fun little conversations,” she continued. “But right now, we’re really excited to get to do the holidays together, and be in public and be normal.”
