Another 'Bachelor' Alum Actually Received Johnny DePhillipo's Final Rose

Johnny DePhillipo first appeared in the "Bachelor" franchise when he tried to find love on Rachel Recchiaand Gabby Windey‘s season of "The Bachelorette." The 26-year-old decided to pursue Gabby, and made it almost to the end, however, he admitted he was not ready for an engagement, and the two parted ways.

DePhillipo then went onto the beach of “Bachelor In Paradise”to try and find love. Unexpectedly, Victoria Fuller walked down the stairs and the two began seeing each other and, ultimately, fell in love.

Unfortunately, Fuller and DePhillipo called off their engagement not long after “Paradise” wrapped filming.

Before Victoria Fuller walked down the stairs and entered the beach, DePhillipo was in a relationship with Hunter Haag. However, after his conversation with Fuller, he realized he had a better connection with her and decided to end his time with Haag.

DePhillipo went to the end of "Paradise" with Fuller, and ultimately got down on one knee and asked Fuller to marry him. She said yes, but the two parted ways a few weeks after the taping ended and rumors began to circulate that Fuller cheated on DePhillipo with another "Bachelor" alum -- Greg Grippo. 

The two addressed the rumors at the November 4 taping of the "Bachelor In Paradise" reunion, where DePhillipo also reconciled with Hunter Haag -- his first girlfriend from Mexico.

"He apologized to me," Haag said when she recently appeared on the "Click Bait with Bachelor Nation" podcast. "He actually bought some roses and gave them to me. He just, like, presented one to me outside of a bar. It was funny. So I guess I got Johnny's last rose, in a way!"

Hunter's friend, Jill Chin, was also on the podcast and joked, "You got his final rose!" to which Haag said, "Yeah, I got the rose! Yeah!"

She also went on to admit she is still interested in DePhillipo. "I would kind of like to revisit things with Johnny, if I'm going to be honest," she told the hosts.

DePhillipo spoke out after the reunion, admitting he feels better now that the finale aired.

“I feel like I can finally start putting my relationship with Victoria to bed and moving on. I’m ready to put it behind me,” he told Bachelor Nation. “I was surprised by a lot at the reunion. For her to go as low as she did and bring up arguments that we had in private, it became a bit of a ‘he said,’ ‘she said’ situation. I don’t say things like that. For me, that all felt like a low blow. I think she said that stuff because was nervous, but I just really didn’t want us to go there.”

He continued, “I feel like I got the closure I needed at the reunion, but also a while ago. I know now everything I need to know to move forward with my life. We very much weren’t working out. We were on two different levels. She is used to a lifestyle that I wasn’t there for yet. She seemed to need more and it wasn’t supposed to work out right now.”
