'BIP' Star Jacob Rapini Breaks Silence After Being Dumped By Jill Chin

"Bachelor in Paradise" stars Jacob Rapini and Jill Chin shocked viewers when Jacob asked Jill to, once again, be his girlfriend on the reunion episode.

Jill, beaming with happiness, said yes and Jacob swept her off her feet (literally) and whisked her off stage. Unfortunately, the two did not date for long after the reunion as Jill confirmed their breakup a few days ago.

Now, Jacob is breaking his silence, admitting he is the one to blame.

The 28-year-old "BIP" star took to Instagram to share some kind words after he and Jill had called it quits.

"You were the right person at the wrong time," he wrote in an Instagram caption alongside a black and white photo of him and Jill.

"You gave 100% while I gave 80. You pushed me to look for quality work, change my schedule, and focus on my family instead of hollow relationships. You asked for better communication while I was lacking. You showed up when I didn’t. Trust was lost," he continued, taking the blame as to why the two did not work out.

Jacob is from Scottsdale, Arizona whereas Jill lives in Scituate, Rhode Island. The 28-year-old acknowledged that the distance did not help with the relationship, writing, "Yes, distance was a big factor for me. Being 2,000 miles away comes with its share of challenges but that wasn’t the main reason. It was readiness of commitment. I appreciate you making me recognize this at the cost of you trying to make it work."

"We had talked before the reunion and we were both open to giving it a go. At the reunion, I wanted to show you a glorious moment to somehow undo the pain I caused in Mexico," the 28-year-old continued, "But it isn’t about the big moments. It’s about the little things. I wasn’t there to give you my whole heart because of my insecurities. I have a lot of refinement to do before I can mentally and spiritually be there.

Jacob concluded with some heartfelt and kind wishes for Jill, saying, "You deserve to be loved. Right now, I deserve to be alone. Jill, good luck on your journey angel?."

Last week, Jill went onto the "Click Bait with Bachelor Nation" podcast where she confirmed she and Jacob had split up as she "had no other choice" but to break up with him. The news comes just days after the "Bachelor In Paradise" reunion episode aired where Jacob asked Jill to be his girlfriend.

"Unfortunately, it did make it to the hard launch phase, but then swiftly after that, it ended," Jill said in regards to where she and Jacob stand.

"I literally had no other choice. I had to do what was best for myself," Jill explained to the "Click Bait" hosts. "There's just a line and, like, standards that you have for yourself that you just can't allow people to cross."

Jill went on to say that the two first started talking again after their one-on-one date aired on television. "After our one-on-one aired, we were like, 'Ooh, we're catching the feelings again!' And then we started talking more and more," she said. "We decided that we probably wanted to give this a shot, so we were just going to talk and try it out."

And that is when the "BIP" reunion happened where Jacob made the "grand gesture" of asking Jill to be his girlfriend. " It was, like, my fairytale moment," she admitted.

But things took a turn when "the trust had been broken." According to Jill, "In a long-distance relationship, you need communication and trust, and we had neither of those things."
