No Need To 'Shake It Off!' It's Taylor Swift's Birthday!

It's December 13th, and that can only mean one thing: It's Taylor Swift's birthday today!

That's right, one of the world's biggest pop stars of the modern era is celebrating her birthday today, and her devoted fanbase of 'Swifties' is making sure Swift's 33rd birthday will be an 'enchanted' day to remember!

Swift has had a heck of a year. The "Lavender Haze" singer released her tenth album "Midnights" in October, announced her first global stadium tour in half a decade, and she now has to worry about a pending lawsuit; a copyright lawsuit over her 2014 hit "Shake It Off" was dropped after five years! Before we get the scoop on how Swifties are celebrating the "Fearless" singer's birthday, let's take a look at some of Swift's recent triumphs!

Swift's work ethic is definitely one for the ages; two years ago, she memorably released two full-length albums in a single year, and now she'll be able to add 'film director' to her resume!

According to The Blast's recent report about Swift's latest career milestone, Swift's upcoming film will be released via Searchlight Pictures.

The company's two presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield described working with Swift as "A genuine joy and privilege to collaborate with [her] as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey," via a statement (per The Hollywood Reporter). The duo also describes Swift as "A once-in-a-generation artist and storyteller."

The birthday woman had previously expressed her desire to step into the director's chair during an "In conversation event" during the Toronto Film Festival in September.

Swift revealed her gravitation toward films centering around "human emotion" over action films.

"I will always want to tell human stories about human emotion," she said during the event, citing a number of female directors, including Nora Ephron, as inspiration.

When discussing the idea of jumping into the director's chair, Swift explained, "If it were the right thing, it would be such a privilege and honor."

In spite of many triumphant career moments in 2022, Swift has had to endure some hurdles as well. After announcing 'The Eras Tour' last month, the conversation surrounding the tour was quickly overshadowed by ticket sale struggles per Ticketmaster.

Almost immediately after ticket presales began, fans began experiencing a staggering amount of difficulty acquiring tickets after Ticketmaster began experiencing technical difficulties resulting in a crash. Ticketmaster now faces a lawsuit filed by fans for the outlet's cancellation of a scheduled sale day.

According to our report on the situation, fans allege Ticketmaster "misrepresent[ed] their services," and allege the company collided "with scalpers for their own profit."

A little over a month after ticket sales originally took place, Ticketmaster is now giving Swifties another chance to acquire tickets for the 'Eras' tour! Yesterday, the company announced a "limited opportunity" for fans to "purchase up to two tickets each," according to NBC News. The outlet also reported the opportunity was made at the request of Swift's team.

Twitter became a hub for Swifties to send the "Untouchable" singer their birthday wishes!

"happy birthday mom!' one Swiftie tweeted, "your unmeasurable talent brings me such joy and keeps me going every day."

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BABY GIRL @taylorswift13," another Swiftie wrote. "Wish you always have a sharp pen, and thin skin, and an open heart."

"Happy 33rd Birthday @taylorswift13!! I hope tonight you're toasting with your real friends, dancing under sparkly lights, and there's a lot of glitter on the floor after the party," a fan of Swift's "New Year's Day" tweeted.

Swift fan account Taylor Swift Updates tweeted a screenshot of Billboard's Artist Chart's top slot, which is currently occupied by Swift!

"@taylorswift13 remains at #1 on the Billboard Artist 100, on the week of her birthday, for a record extending 57th week!" the tweet reads.

"happy 33rd birthday to my all time favorite person @taylorswift13 your music has carried me through my darkest, happiest, most confusing joyous, unique, and scariest times," a celebrating Swiftie tweeted, along with a photo set of Swift snaps through the years. "thank you for being the most incredible version of you."

Even celebs joined in on the fun! George Takei tweeted a compilation video dedicated to Swift and asked his fans to reply with their favorite songs by Swift.
