ABC News anchors are steering clear of the never-ending drama going down with ‘GMA3’ anchors, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes.
Since their off-screen affair took over headlines late last month, several reports have come out about their co-anchor’s feelings toward their relationship.
Robin Roberts reportedly confronted Robach and Holmes about their affair years ago.
'GMA' & ABC News Anchors Are Pissed About Robach & Holmes' Drama
Now, new reports claim the anchors at ABC News want nothing to do with the drama.
According to Page Six, ‘World News Tonight’ anchor, David Muir, “wants no part” in his “20/20” co-anchor’s scandal.
“He’s not having it. He’s the face of the evening news and nothing about him ever makes it into the papers. He’s very private and no one at ABC likes the way Amy and T.J. handled it,” a source told the outlet.
An additional source explained, “every anchor is upset that Amy and T.J. have caused such drama. No one wants to be associated with this, and Amy and David already aren’t that close right now.”
David Muir Isn't On Good Terms With "20/20" Co-Host, Robach
Muir is “focused on work, not any of this,” a spokesperson for ABC News revealed.
The network’s initial reaction to their affair was to ignore it, but Robach and Holmes didn’t follow orders and flaunted their BTS, no so covert relationship, on-air.
Robach and Holmes joked about having a “great week” the week leading up to incriminating photos of the pair cuddling and canoodling in NYC were published by the Daily Mail.
The Blast recently reported on Holmes’ cocky attitude about the entire situation, and how he flaunted their relationship.
Holmes Flaunted His "Secret" Relationship With Robach
In an interview with TheNew York Post, Holmes called Robach his “best friend” and ‘GMA’ his “dream job.”
This interview took place just a few weeks before their scandalous relationship was brought to light and subsequently got them kicked off air.
Holmes Called Robach His "Best Friend"
“I am a really, really lucky dude … I am now in my absolute dream job … And I get to sit next to my best friend doing it,” he gushed to The Post on Oct. 21.
He said this prior to the two running the Nov. 6 TCS New York City Marathon.
In the same interview, Holmes went on to explain how happy he was anchoring ‘GMA3’ with Robach.
“I never ever ever could have imagined things working out the way they have,” he said.
Holmes had several affairs with ABC staffers throughout the years and is currently under investigation by the network.
According to reports, ABC’s investigative bells began ringing after news of his relationship with Robach, producer Natasha Singh and at least one other staffer hit the press.
The human resources department is looking into the philandering co-anchors past with the company to see if he had any other relationship with staffers underneath him.
“It’s one thing for him to have a relationship with another anchor,” an insider told Page Six. “The question is whether he violated company rules by dating less senior employees.”
Holmes Is Under Investigation At ABC
ABC News chief, Kim Godwin, seemed to hint at a “no stone unturned” approach to Robach and Holmes’ scandal during a Monday company-wide meeting.
She decided to temporarily take Robach and Holmes off the air until the situation gets sorted.
Obviously now, Holmes’ inability to keep it in his pants has really put ABC between a rock and a hard place.
PUN INTENDED.
