Kourtney Kardashian seems to be back to her normal self and with renewed energy ten months after discontinuing her IVF treatments.
It is common knowledge that the fashion icon tried IVF to be able to bear a child for her doting husband, Travis Barker; however, it seemed to have had a negative effect, causing her to end the procedures. Now, she is updating fans on how her body feels post-IVF, months after fans assumed she was with child given her weight gain triggered by the treatments.
Kourtney Kardashian Is Finally Getting Her Energy Back Ten Months Post-IVF
"Finally getting my energy back," Kourtney declared on Thursday, 8 December, at 11:22 a.m., as indicated in the shared update. She further noted that the development came about ten months after putting an end to her IVF treatments while also telling those who had similar experiences that it would get better.
In conclusion, she added five blushing emojis and drew a golden star on the Insta Story post featuring a black and white mirror selfie but with her face obscured. The image also showed a treadmill monitor, indicating that she had paused after 12 laps.
About two months prior, the "KUWTK" star spoke candidly about her body's changes, particularly weight gain, amid her search for a baby using IVF treatments. Speaking in the third episode of "The Kardashians" second season, which The Blast reported, she stated, "So, obviously, my body has changed, but it was like all of the hormones that the doctors put me on."
Kourtney further disclosed that the treatments affected her body "mentally and physically." Still, she eventually got used to her body changes and was more satisfied with her new curvy physique.
While the treatment lasted eight months, she came to terms with the significant changes, which she believed were perfect. She also called her ass "amazing" and said, "I'm so into my thicker body. I looked at photos of my body when I was so skinny. It is cringey."
The Poosh creator was reported to have gained over 15 pounds, making her approximate weight 115 pounds. Nevertheless, she did not appear bothered as she had no plans of being skinny again.
Later in the confessional, she revealed that she experienced depression during her "super skinny" moments, not particularly because of eating or remaining a certain weight, but because she felt it was a toxic relationship.
Kourtney added, "I used to always say this: When I'm super skinny, just know I'm not happy." But despite the mood swings and weight change, she had the full support of her husband, Travis.
"I mean, every day, Travis is like, 'You're perfect,'" she confessed. "If I make one complaint, he's like, 'You're perfect. You're so fine… You've never been better, "Now I'm so into it."
Having such a super supportive partner who constantly showered her with compliments really assisted the businesswoman to "embrace the changes and actually to the point where I love the changes now."
Fans would recall that several speculations arose about Kourtney being pregnant, given her weight gain; however, she called those remarks rude during her IVF journey. At the time, she told her mother, Kris Jenner, about the online claims, adding, "I'm like, it's so rude to comment on people when you have no idea what they're actually going through."
Although the comments on her alleged pregnancy did not change, she wished she was expecting a child but knew everything worked according to God's plans.
The Lemme Founder Admits To Feeling Like A Lunatic Amid IVF Journey
Kourtney did not have the best experience amid her IVF journey, and she opened up to her mum about her struggles earlier in April in an episode of their Hulu series. The Blast reported that she called the procedure "awful" and noted that she and Travis' doctor advised them to do the treatments.
While touching on the criticisms she faced on social media for gaining weight amid the journey, she also revealed that the process made her depressed and triggered her menopause. She further said:
"I think because I'm so clean and careful with what I put into my body, it's just having the complete opposite reaction and is working as a contraceptive instead of helping us."
The 43-year-old did not appear depressed to her mother, but she admitted to feeling like "a lunatic half the time" alongside being "super moody and hormonal."
