"It's my incredible wife's birthday. Not sure if I can declare a public holiday!!! But feels like we should. Because there's no one on this planet I know, who celebrates every moment of every day like her."
The Grammy winner noted that his spouse meant "everything" to him before declaring his eternal love for the actress. The lovebirds fell for each other while co-starring in the 1995 series "Corelli." A year later, the duo said their vows kickstarting their ever-blossoming romance.
Deborra-Lee Furness Shut Down Gay Rumors About Her Husband
Earlier this year, we shared that Furness lost her patience with the media over the resurfaced rumors about her husband's sexuality. The SIFF Award winner and Jackman are one of the oldest couples in Hollywood; however, some people doubted their affair.
During an appearance on the "Not An Overnight Success" podcast, the producer addressed the gay rumors surrounding her husband. The mother-of-two clarified that these stories were false, noting that if Jackman was gay, he would not hide in a closet.
Given the support the LGBTQ community has received in recent times, the Australian actress pointed out that the "X-Men: Days of Future Past" actor could reveal his presumed sexuality without issues. However, "The Greatest Showman" actor had no secrets to share.
According to the 67-year-old, the gay rumors were "silly and boring." Unfortunately, the media continues to thrive by spreading and selling "schadenfreude and misery," a concept Furness believed spawned from people's desire to make themselves happy by belittling others.
