Will Smith is sharing some of the best things he experienced while filming his latest project, “Emancipation.”
Smith, who faced public backlash following his 2022 Oscars mishap, seems to be enjoying his Hollywood comeback with the Antoine Fuqua-directed action thriller. He recently shared a clip of a reflective moment he experienced during his days on set with his fans, who immediately understood the message he was trying to convey.
Will Smith Finds Beauty In The Middle Of A Storm
In the Instagram reel, Smith is seen sitting on a chair in the middle of a forest, quietly taking in the gorgeous scenery before him during a break from shooting. The “King Richard” star, who is donned in his character’s costume and holding an umbrella over his head, began:
“This is my favorite moment on [sic] this movie so far. I love the rain. I love how it makes everything stop,” as the camera panned to show viewers the trees in the forest.
After a moment of solitude, Smith continued, “It’s beautiful. It’s also a moment I want to find for the character. In the middle of all the h*ll, he just finds a moment of beauty of God in nature and realizes that the problem is man. The problem is in the hearts of men and not in God’s world. God’s world is actually beautiful.”
“So many beautiful moments for all of us to embrace and celebrate! Love each one!” Canadian actor Steven Ogg commented in response. English author Jay Shetty supported, “Roger Miller said “some people feel the rain, others just get wet.” Love your reflection,” and recording artiste Jahzel Dotel chimed, “love how the rain makes everything stop.”
One fan had another motive, writing, “Yeah I need to see this movie because even though you enjoying the rain you look like you [sic] been through a lot and pain in your eyes. So I know you played the #+}> out the character. Can’t [wait] to see you on the big screen.”
Nearly two weeks ago, The Blast reported that ‘The Fresh Prince’ dropped a candid photo of the realistic-looking art illustrated on his upper body. In the picture, the 54-year-old was shirtless with one hand raised to showcase the faux blood-coated whip marks on his elbow and parts of his chest and waist.
His afro and goatee added to his personality as an enslaved person, thanks to Judy Murdock, who Smith credited for his body makeup.
Smith Hosts Dave Chappelle And Others For Private Screening
When news of Smith slapping Chris Rock went viral, Dave Chappelle was one of the celebs who criticized the four-time Grammy Awards winner. That action prompted fans to conclude that their friendship was over.
However, the opposite turned out to be the case when the father-of-three hosted a star-studded gathering of friends for a private “Emancipation” screening, and Chappelle was there.
Viewers caught sight of the comedian in pictures Smith shared on Instagram in October. The Blast shared that the “Chappelle’s Show” star is seen looking up at the camera as the “Parents Just Don’t Understand” singer captured a selfie with him and other celebrity guests, including Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Fawn, Tyler Perry, and Kenya Barris, in the first slide.
The 49-year-old was spotted again in the next pic, assuming an upright position during a conversation with seated guests. For the occasion, Chappelle wore a brown round-neck shirt, black bottoms, and a simple necklace hanging over his top.
Behind the stand-up comedian are spotlights highlighting a projector screen with the film’s name on it. Smith wrote under the snaps, “EPIC night!! Thanx for coming to see #Emancipation. Hope ya’ll enjoyed!!”
His friends did not hesitate in answering his question as Barris commented, “This night was MAGIC, and your movie is truly something that will last forever!” “Emancipation” will showcase Smith in the character of Peter, a man that escaped slavery and went in search of freedom in Louisiana during the American Civil War. The action thriller is set for a December 9, 2022 release in the United States.
