Bethenny Frankel Gets 'Transparent' With Fans About Plastic Surgery

Bethenny Frankel gets real about plastic surgery and does not care about people's judgment. 

Since leaving Bravo in 2019, she has become known for posting candid beauty product reviews on social media. The star took her honesty streak to the next level when she opened up to fans in a video about some plastic surgeries she had done. 

"Let's have the plastic surgery conversation," the 52-year-old began the Instagram video, adding that she owed it to her fans to be completely transparent with them, especially after entering the beauty space. 

She noted that she did not need to give full details about her sex or financial life but instead felt a responsibility because of all the talks she has had about skin. The reality TV star then said it would be fraudulent of her to go for a cosmetic procedure and act like it was natural. 

The "Real Housewives of New York City" alum confessed she was considering getting some work done and had gone on a plastic surgery tour. She also revealed what she had done over the years, like Botox, getting a filler and a breast lift fifteen years ago.

Frankel explained that she wanted to have more done sooner than later because she did not "want to wait until "everything's hanging" but wanted to continue looking like herself, saying, "I don't want to look like anyone else. I would just like a little help along the way."

The star also admitted knowing she would be judged, saying, "that's OK, as long as I'm being honest with you." She noted that it was also fine for them to disagree with her decision, but she would not lie. The entrepreneur bashed insecure women who lied about their surgeries, including their bank account size.

"In today's world of filters and face tune and people being outright dishonest about how they look," she captioned the clip, adding that it is vital that she remain transparent about her physical appearance because of her influence and stand in the beauty space. She ended the caption by writing:

"I'm thinking very seriously about plastic surgery… and I want to share with you all the reasons. How do you feel about it?"

Apart from posting reviews of beauty products to the delight of her 2.8 million followers, Frankel has also spoken against the excessive use of filters. In September, The Blast noted that she posted three pictures on her page to point out a few things.

The TV personality stood in the first and second images by the water on the beach in a blue two-piece bikini. She had sunglasses and a white wristwatch on as she looked into the camera. The difference in both was evident when a slide to the left revealed the third, which was a collage of the previous pictures.

The proportional differences showed in her busy, thigh, and waist areas as she wrote in the caption, "This is NOT what I look like. And you know that bc I'm not vain and show you the real me." The author brought to light that people would only start to believe what they see when it is posted every day. The mother-of-one emphasized that filtering was not only deceptive it was also a lie.

She believes that it has the power to warp reality, making females strive for unrealistic body goals and misleading men. Frankel concluded by noting that it was not inspirational but an inaccurate and false representation of natural bodies, as well as supporting the difference between trying to look nice and living a lie.  

Looking great at an advanced age is no easy feat, but the "Chelsea Lately" guest star seems to have gotten something right. The Blast shared that the business owner divulged her trade secrets to look radiant.

In a TikTok clip, she responded to a fan's question about keeping her thin look. She shocked everyone when she said she does not exercise or maintain a strict diet, preferring to take walks outside, especially along the seaside. 

Frankel stressed the need for rest in the form of sleep as well as retaining a positive attitude. She confessed that she fell for the diet way in her thirties due to being heavier at the time. 

The former babysitter said she avoided binge eating and lifting weights and embraced a "zero f**ks lifestyle" and advised her followers to choose happiness instead of being held down by worrying about diets.
