Tia Mowry is sharing some self-care tips for the holidays!
Since announcing her divorce from Cory Hardrict last month, the actress has become more serious about doing things that make her happier. The "Sister, Sister" alum has also taken to sharing this helpful content with millions of fans. The star did so again recently by detailing her steps to maintain self-care during the festive season.
Tia Mowry Puts Herself First With These Self-Care Pointers
After pondering about how quickly the year has been moving, Mowry said, "I just wanted to talk to you guys about how I intend on maintaining my self-care practice throughout the holidays. I love spending quality time with my family, but in order for me to fully show up for those around me that I love, I have to show up for myself too."
To that end, the "Detention" actress said she would be doing "mindful movements" that include neighborhood walks, ten-minute meditations in the morning and at night, long baths, and praying.
Mowry added, "Carving out at least 30 minutes of me-time throughout the day helps me feel grounded and at peace, which is something I can lean into. It helps maintain a sense of routine which is so incredibly important to me."
The "Bratz Go to Paris: The Movie" actress concluded the clip by throwing a question at her audience. She asked them to tell her how they planned to maintain their self-care during the holidays.
Mowry's update comes nearly two weeks after the mother-of-two informed her followers of her morning routine. In a reel she shared on Instagram, the "Twitches" star began her day with an affirmation card she picked out of a deck on her table.
Next, she got into the shower, where she shaved her legs with a razor and washed her hair. She then went into her wardrobe, donned an orange sweatsuit and bottoms combo, and styled her wet hair.
Mowry made a cup of tea, which she carried to the pool area to do some work. Her adorable daughter, Cairo, soon joined her — the tot was sent away with a kiss on her cheek. Per The Blast, the 44-year-old partly wrote under the video:
"With new chapters comes anxiety, uncertainty, and fear. Having a routine helps me clear my mind and hit the reset button."
The former 'Voice' group member explained that her morning routine was about "finding rituals" that reminded her that pouring into her cup helped her feel "more grounded," especially during the navigation of "this new chapter of my life."
The "True Colors" guest star added that it was easier for her to practice her "daily gratitudes, be more productive and focused" and be "the better version" of herself when she could "savor a slow start." Fans quickly told her in the comments that her words resonated with them.
The 'Smart Guy' Actress Will Never Miss Out On Family Love
The Blast reported that Tamera opened up about her twin sister's healing following the separation from Hardrict. The "Home & Family" star addressed the issue during an interview that saw her recounting a conversation she had with Tia. She said:
"I told her, I said, 'Tia, I'm looking on your Instagram; this is the happiest you've been in a long time. You are glowing! You look different, but In a very positive way!'"
Explaining the possible reason for the glow, the former "The Real" co-host added, "I think it's because — no, I know it's because she is living her authentic, true self, and I think that is what everyone should do. And it's not easy! That's the thing; it's scary."
The "Rosie" actress then went on to express her support for her sister, gushing, "I told her, 'I'm so proud of you because you are showing other women — and hell, even men — that you walk in your truth, and look what happens. No matter what."
Tamera also paid accolades to her twin, whom she claimed to be "very, very strong and inspiring." The former singer had previously shown support for her sister during a "Today with Hoda & Jenna" appearance.
When one of the show's hosts veered off topic and tried getting information about Tia's divorce, Tamera responded, "Whatever she wants, the Mowrys' have her back."
