Chrissy Teigen Replaces Her Lawn With Turf And Got Mixed Reactions From Fans

Chrissy Teigen is excited to be able to have "tea parties and picnics" outside now that she replaced the lawn at her office with turf due to her grass allergy. The pregnant model, 36, shared her new fake lawn with her fans on Instagram and the comment section was filled with both positive and negative thoughts about the change.

Teigen captioned her post that included two snaps of her relaxing on her new fake lawn, "just got turf in at the office! im allergic to grass so this is very exciting for me. tea parties and picnics abound!! (never not in this robe)" and fans jumped into the comment section to voice their thoughts. 

Some of her followers were just focused on her beautiful robe. Hulu wrote, "can we get matching robes together?" Another follower added, "Living for this robe content. Also best robes ever. Wear mine everyday." Another wrote, "I’ve got silk and teddy. Wear them all day everyday. The new red is SO GOOD?"

A few people were not excited about the change telling Teigen that it was a bad move switching out real grass with fake. One person expressed a concern that the post will inspire many others to do the same saying, "There are sooo many natural, living plant alternatives to grass.. which does no good for the natural environment anyway. Moss, clover, creeping thyme, etc. I really hope this doesn’t inspire a bunch of people to cover their yards in plastic."

One follower left a link that explains the hazards of artificial turf in an attempt to try to help others. And another person added, "That stuff is loaded with PFAS (epa say there is no safe amount to be exposed to) and chemicals. You may want to rethink. Also it’s horrible for the environment. #endocrinedisruptors"

But while some had negative things to say about the change, many of Teigen's fans had positive thoughts to share. A few people noted that they also suffer from grass allergies and the swap makes sense. "Ah I feel so seen—-I’m allergic to grass too people always think I’m kidding," one comment reads. Another follower could totally relate to having a grass allergy and commented, "And here I thought I was the only weirdo allergic to grass!!! Like 15 different grass types!?"

Some people had positive thoughts about the turf. One wrote, "I have turf and it’s life changing, love it! The only thing that sucks is during the summer it gets a little hot, but not the end of world." Another person added, "Turf is the best thing ever! We love ours too! No Grow, No Mow, No Allergies either! ? Good for You! ?"

Teigen and husband John Legend are getting ready to welcome a new baby. The couple are parents to Luna Simone, 6, Miles Theodore, 4, and their son Jack who they lost at 20 weeks of pregnancy. Teigen announced her pregnancy on Instagram in August with a post captioned, "the last few years have been a blur of emotions to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again. 1 billion shots later (in the leg lately, as u can see!) we have another on the way."
