Emily Blunt‘s brother-in-law is a “sex symbol” whether he understands it or not.
Actor Stanley Tucci‘s evolution into a heartthrob in his 60s has people talking, including Blunt, 39. Tucci, 62, who’s married to Blunt’s sister Felicity, was the topic of conversation when “The Quiet Place” actress recently appeared on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”

Emily Blunt Said Stanley Tucci Is “Shocked” About His Sex Symbol Status
“Can you believe that? He’s a sex symbol now,” she said to Colbert, 58. “I think he’s shocked.” Colbert pointed out, “Really? He doesn’t act like he is. He acts like, ‘Finally they’ve noticed,” to which Blunt responded, “It’s amazing that it took a sort of irreverent video on Instagram that my sister told him to post and then he became a sex symbol. But I asked him, ‘Do you like it deep down? Do you like being a sex symbol? And he goes, ‘I mean, yeah.'”

A Viral Instagram Video Kicked Off His New Status
Videos that Tucci posted during the pandemic went viral and started his “sex symbol” status. Earlier this year when talking to PEOPLE, Tucci admitted that he doesn’t get it, but he’s embracing it. “Who goes, ‘I feel terrible about that’? People think I’m sexy? How awful,” he said. “It’s wonderful. I don’t get it, but I’m very glad.”
His popularity seemed to soar after he shared a video of himself putting together a Negroni cocktail. “It changed my life completely,” he explained. “All I had to do was be myself.” The video posted back in April 2020 got 1.2 million views and more than 5,000 comments.
Many of his followers jumped into the comment section to let him know what was on their minds while viewing the clip. One follower wrote, “My god, his arms! I’d always ask him for a shaken cocktail just to see those biceps. 🔥” Another added, “He is so hot. 🔥” One other follower said, “Stanley, this millennial has a tiny crush on u.”

Emily Blunt Often Praises Stanley Tucci And His Mixology Skills
While speaking with Colbert, Blunt also discussed Tucci’s signature mixology skills during family holiday meals. “I mean, Stanley makes a fantastic Christmas cosmo,” she said. “We call it a Blunt-Tucci. So, we have gone to them, they have come to us. He’s an amazing cook, but she’s an amazing cook as well.”
Blunt and Tucci starred together in the hit movie, “The Devil Wears Prada” in 2006. Tucci reconnected with Blunt’s sister, a British literary agent, at her wedding to John Krasinski in 2010. The two got married in summer 2012 and are parents to son Matteo Oliver, 7, and daughter Emilia Giovanna, 4.

Blunt has gushed about her “sex symbol” brother-in-law before the recent interview with Colbert. Earlier this year, she told PEOPLE that he starts his day walking into the kitchen and saying, “‘Ah, Chrisssst.'” But once “he has his espresso, he’s a changed man.” “He’s an all-around renaissance man who knows the way to everyone’s hearts. And it’s through having a damn good time,” she said. “He’s frighteningly bright, quick to laugh, loves to be laughed at, charismatic, warm and energetic.”
As she continued to sing the praises of Tucci, she said, “He’s authentic and irreverent in the best way ever. He just gets life, and I absolutely worship the guy.”
