Celebrity couples can break our hearts, especially when we’ve deeply invested in their success. Let’s hope that’s never the case with Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, one of the happiest, most inspiring marriages in all of Hollywood.

One of the reasons the couple is so endearing is that they’re willing to have fun, and to let their fans in on their jokes with one another. One recent example came when Blunt described the “sneak attack” way she wound up living with her current husband.

In a recent interview, Blunt discussed the early days of her relationship with Krasinski. She explained that she had recently purchased a home in London, and was planning on making that her home base. All of that changed as she and Krasinski started to get more serious with one another, though.

Blunt explained that her move to L.A., where Krasinski lived, was pretty gradual. In fact, she basically just found herself living there one day without any real effort.

“Gradually more and more of my stuff just accumulated at his house, and then suddenly I was living in L.A. I think it’s the best way to do it – just to sneak-attack them, rather than turn up with trunks,” the actress said.

The sneak attack method she employed was clearly effective, as the couple is still together to this day. Perhaps more couples should just accidentally move in with one another without totally meaning to. It might make everything simpler.

Krasinski and Blunt first met while Krasinski was still starring on “The Office.” The two first met through a mutual friend in 2008, and Krasinski reportedly knew Blunt was right for him almost immediately.

“It was one of those things where I wasn’t really looking for a relationship and I was thinking I’m going to take my time in L.A. Then I met her, and I was so nervous. I was like, ‘Oh god, I think I’m going to fall in love with her,’” Krasinski later said of their first meeting.

The two wound up dating, and Krasinski eventually proposed in August of 2019. They got married almost a year later at their friend George Clooney’s Italian estate.

It’s a fairytale romance set against a Hollywood backdrop. The couple have been together ever since, for more than a decade now. And just think: Everything might have been different if Blunt had taken a different approach to moving in. Thankfully, she went with a “sneak attack,” and she’s still reaping the benefits to this day.
