Judge Judy Reveals Justin Bieber Paid People So He Could Avoid Her While They Were Neighbors

Not all celebrities have the same personality behind the cameras as they do off-screen, but Judge Judy definitely does. The reality TV star revealed that people are frightened of her in real life, including her former neighbor, Justin Bieber.

The singer, who shot to fame as early as 13, lived beside Judy and was "scared to death" of her at the time. The fear was so much that he reportedly paid his security to keep an eye out since he didn't want to bump into her.

While they never related in public, the reality star Judge once called Bieber out on what she believed was "foolish" behavior. However, all this was in the past, and the "Baby" singer is now having his best time with his wife, Hailey Baldwin. The two recently got a new addition to the family and celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary.

The TV personality, who has starred in her court show "Judge Judy" for 25 seasons, opened up to Access Hollywood about how fearful Bieber was of her. In response to how she felt about living next to the star in 2017, she said, "He's scared to death of me."

At the time, Judy wasn't much of his fan either, as she recalled that his behavior annoyed her. She also noted, in his defense, that he was younger then and is a better person now. "There was a period of time before he grew up when he was foolish, and doing foolish things," she said.

The reality judge then recalled while laughing that the "Stuck With U" singer was also paranoid about bumping into her. According to her, he would make his security staff tell him when Judy was outside so that he would avoid her path.

The 80-year-old revealed that the now 28-year-old would tip the security to let him know when she planned to leave the house so he would stay put. "I must have said something about it," she recalled, "and then, I understood that he was paying the front door people to let them know when I was there, coming and going, so he wouldn't have to bump into me."

While the two have never appeared publicly together, Judy once commented publicly on Bieber's lifestyle after his arrest in 2014. She spoke to CBS at the time about how much he was misusing his opportunity of being a celeb.

The legal professional accused the "Honest" singer of being ungrateful and "foolish" following the arrest. The then 20-year-old got into trouble in Miami Beach for driving under the influence and speeding. The police reportedly pulled him over for driving too fast, and he failed a sobriety test shortly after. The singer then admitted to taking Marijuana, alcohol, and some prescription drugs.

In response to this, Judy told the news outlet how disappointed she was in him. She noted that Beiber was wasting his "gift" of "being a celebrity" and behaving badly. "You could either treat [fame] reverently or you could make a fool out of yourself. And he's doing a very good job of making a fool out of himself."

She then added that his behavior would affect his career in the future if he continued on that path. She said per People, "Nobody's going to remember that he was a marginal singer. But they're going to remember a young kid who had a chance to have it all and who is blowing it by acting like a fool."

The "Somebody To Love" singer and Baldwin, who tied the knot in September 2018, announced their anniversary on Instagram with sweet tributes to each other. Bieber captioned a post, "Happy anniversary to my best friend and wifey," while tagging the model and thanking her for "making him better in every way."

Baldwin also posted lovely photos of the duo together and wrote, "4 years married to you, the most beautiful human I've ever known... love of my life. Thank God for you.” The couple also welcomed their new puppy Piggy Lou with several cute photos on the app as Bieber posed with the new puppy and Oscar, who joined the bunch in 2018.
