Aaron Carter, the beloved pop star who rose to fame in the late nineties, has died at the age of 34.

News of Carter's death broke on Saturday afternoon following reports the entertainer was found dead in his California home earlier this morning.

According to TMZ, a 911 call had been made at 11 AM revealing a male had reportedly drowned in his bathtub. Multiple sources also told the publication Carter's body had been found in the bathtub as well.

As of this writing, there has been no evidence of foul play in the situation or information that foul play had been suspected. Law enforcement also told reported homicide detectives have "been dispatched to the scene."

It's being reported that there is currently caution tape around the property. The outlet has also obtained a photo featuring paramedics and sheriff vehicles at the scene.

Carter had a highly-publicized history of substance abuse in recent years and had had a strained relationship with his family. He has also been incredibly transparent with sharing his struggles publicly. Carter had also made an appearance on "The Doctors" to discuss his history with taking pills.

As of this writing, no statements from the Carter family have been made. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends.

According to one of The Blast's reports from earlier this Fall, Carter had checked into rehab and had been receiving outpatient treatment.

He shared details of his treatment in an interview at the time, revealing he had been seeing a counselor on an individual basis.

Carter had been struggling with his marijuana use and had been hoping to break the habit during his rehab stay.

Carter is survived by his young son, Prince.

Prince's well-being had been a motivating factor for Carter in his decision to seek treatment. Prior to his rehab admission, custody of Prince had been granted to his mother, ex-fiancee Melanie Martin.

Carter and Martin had split in November of last year, according to Entertainment Tonight.

Carter's Ex-Fiancee Sought A Restraining Order Following February Domestic Dispute

Martin would also later seek a restraining order against Carter following a domestic dispute. According to legal documents that had been obtained by The Blast, the restraining order had been filed by Martin in Los Angeles.

The dispute had taken place on February 21st. Carter had "punched" Martin on her left side, resulting in broken ribs.

"He punched me in the rib and pushed me," Martin detailed in the documents, "I didn't feel the pain until a few days later, then I left the house because he threatened to give me a restraining order."

She also revealed the dispute had been the result of an argument about Martin "talking to another man while we were broken up."

Martin also sought medical attention for her injuries.

As of this writing, Martin has not spoken publicly about Carter's death.
