Selena Gomez knows a thing or two about keeping your inner circle close.
The 30-year-old has lived an extremely high-profile life in the last few years, experiencing countless life events one would understandably crave to keep private.
However, Gomez is doing quite the opposite by inviting her fans to intimately explore her mind and heart through the Apple TV+ documentary, "My Mind & Me," premiering tomorrow, Friday, November 4th.
Since her teenage years, the world has had a front-row glimpse into many of Gomez's friendships.
Some are still in Gomez's circle, others have long left her orbit, and a few may or may not have ever been in it at all.
Ahead of "My Mind & Me's" premiere, Gomez is opening her heart and highlighting treasured elements of her life through promotional interviews.
The "Lose You To Love Me" singer sat down with Rolling Stone to discuss everything from the influence of Madonna on her career, her nerves for viewers to witness how vulnerable she'll appear in "My Mind & Me," and those friendships which have helped ease the weight of Gomez's last few years.
Read on to find out which famous figure is perhaps most famous to Gomez for being her closest friend through thick and thin.
Gomez Gets Candid: Inside Gomez's Relationships With Certain Famous Popular Culture Figures
Gomez has had many associations throughout her career with certain notable famous faces, a few of which she has weathered a few storms with.
Recently, The Blast has covered the latest news over Gomez's relationship with both Hailey Bieber and Britney Spears.
Gomez's relationship with Bieber (née Baldwin) has largely been shaped, sculpted, and defined by the press and social media rather than through actual interaction between the two.
The duo has been famously pitted against each other due to an ever-looming third figure, Justin Bieber, Gomez's on-and-off ex-boyfriend from 2011 until 2018. Gomez and Bieber have spent a lot of the last four years trying to side-step through the public's fascination with the idea of a non-existent feud.
That is- until recently.
We covered Gomez's recent and extremely rare address about their association; Gomez's statement follows the highly-circulated photo of the duo from last month, an action that perhaps serves as the loudest statement of all about their relationship.
Gomez explained that the photo is "not even a thing" in an interview with Vulture.
Bieber memorably offered her perspective on her relationship with Gomez in an interview on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast in September.
"It's all respect, it's all love..." Bieber stressed.
Gomez also has ties with some of the biggest pop stars of the last century, one of which we'll get to later, and the other is Britney Spears.
Gomez famously attended Spears' wedding to Sam Asghari in June but more recently, Spears seems to have a bone to pick with her fellow songstress.
The "Early Mornin'" singer took to Instagram, a platform she's been well-known to express her thoughts and feelings to their full extent, and shared her thoughts on the hypocrisy of women who are critical of other women who enjoy leaving little to the imagination.
After fans and followers began to speculate Spears had been talking about Gomez who had discussed her desire not to see people's bodies on Instagram but rather get to know what was on the inside in a 2016 American Music Awards acceptance speech.
Spears would later address the speculation she had been talking about Gomez in her now-deleted Instagram post. Her apology was met with criticism; many fans believed it to be a "non-apology."
SelGo Priorities Easy And 'Swift' Friendships
Sure, many friendships go through difficult phases, but there are also those friendships that just come easy no matter what.
Gomez has famously remained close to Taylor Swift for over a decade, their friendship outlasting countless boyfriends and spanning through many, many eras of Swift's career.
The duo lit up social media earlier this year with sweet snapshots from Gomez's 30th birthday celebration!
Gomez celebrates Swift long after big events have passed and all of the glitter on the floor has been vacuumed after the parties. She delved a bit deeper into their friendship to Rolling Stone, expressing the extent of Swift's importance in her life.
"I never fit in with a group of cool girls that were celebrities. My only friend in the industry is Taylor [Swift]..."
Swift's influence on Gomez's life is stronger than the insecurities that fame inspired.
She continued, "so I remember feeling I didn't belong," Gomez says of her fellow celebrities. "I felt the presence of everyone around me living full lives. I had this position, and I was really happy, but... was I? Did these materialistic things make me happy?" she continued.
"My Mind & Me" will be available to stream on November 4th.
