Mindy Kaling rarely shares photos or videos of her two children on social media, but when she does, it's something pretty special. The "Never Have I Ever" creator recently shared a video on Instagram of her daughter, Katherine Swati, 4, and son Spencer Avu, 2, watching the music video for Michael Jackson's "Thriller" to learn the steps to the popular Halloween dance.

Katherine And Spencer Were Learning The "Thriller" Dance Before Halloween

The video captioned, "Watching Thriller on repeat to learn the moves by tomorrow? πŸ§Ÿβ€β™€οΈπŸ•ΊπŸ½πŸŽƒπŸ€žπŸΎ" first shows Katherine standing in front of the television focusing on the dance moves and copying some of them. Then the camera pans over to Spencer, who's on standing on the couch behind her doing his own dance moves. Both kids are clearly loving the video.

Mindy Kaling Never Shows Her Children's Faces Online

Kaling, 43, is known for never showing her kids' faces on social media. So, while she sometimes shares photos and videos of them, it's usually the back of their heads. "I have no judgment for people in the public eye who share photos and videos of their children. My sense is that [my kids] have no real consent right now to do that. I feel like I might as well wait until they get old enough so they can tell me if they want to be part of my social media or not," Kaling told PEOPLE last November. "Sometimes it's just a safety thing. I don't want to be at the airport and have someone be like 'Spencer, Katherine,' and have them look to the people as though they know them or they're friends. I think that could be really confusing as a kid."

She also explained that it's not easy for her to not show them off. "So that's the reason I'm doing it, but it's hard because they're such a huge part of my life," she said. "And I'm like any parent where I'm proud of the things they do. I think they're so cute, and of course, I want other people to see it!"
