For the first time in two decades, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is facing the reality of what it is like to lose.
Thanks to the Bucs 27-22 loss to the Baltimore Ravens last night during Thursday Night Football, Brady and his team have now lost five of six games, resulting in the team falling to 3-5.
The 45-year-old quarterback is now speaking out about last night's loss.
Tom Brady Admits They Have Not Yet Earned To Win
The Buccaneers fell short last night, losing to the Baltimore Ravens 27-22, making this their third straight loss. After the game, the future Hall of Famer spoke out about the game, saying, "I don't think anyone feels good. We lost five of six, so not where we wanna be. We haven't earned it and we got to go earn it. You gotta fight hard and you gotta figure out how to win games."
Last week, Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers could not even get in the end zone during their loss to the Carolina Panthers. The only points the Bucs scored were thanks to Ryan Succop’s field goal, as the final score was 21-3. Last night, the team was able to get in the end zone and score 22 points, but it was not enough for the Ravens' 27 points, which won Lamar Jackson and his Ravens the game.
The 45-year-old Buccaneers quarterback has never been on a team that has lost five of six games in the NFL. For the first time, Brady is also two games under .500 in the regular season as a starting quarterback.
"If you think you can erase what happened over the last eight weeks," Brady said. "We gotta dig deep, see what we're about, come to work, and improve. We gotta give ourselves a better chance."
Tom Brady Throws Tablets In Frustration
During Week 3, Tom Brady was frustrated with his team and the 45-year-old was caught throwing and breaking a tablet on the sideline.
Things turned around for the Buccaneers as they ended up defeating the Saints 20-10. After the game ended, Brady shared a video on Twitter addressing the tablet incident. “Great win to get to 2-0,” Brady started in the video before apologizing for his behavior earlier in the game. “Sorry for breaking that tablet,” he said smiling, “I think that’s going to be another Twitter meme or something like that.”
However, Tom Brady was extremely frustrated not being able to pull anything together offensively during the Carolina Panthers game last week, and he once again took his anger out on the team’s equipment.
Brady did not speak about the tablet-throwing incident from the Panthers game, though he did speak out on the team’s performance, saying, “We’re plenty capable of making plays. We’re just not making them consistently enough to score points. Make a big play. Make a bad play. Make a big play. Make a bad play. In football, it’s just not good enough. You can’t play like that. You got to string enough good plays together to get the ball into the red area and score points. Just haven’t done that.”
