Earlier this week, the Los Angeles Times reported that Childers, who was married to the film director from 2009 to 2017, declared that he and his lawyer Ben Valencia had been "threatening" her life.

In her declaration, Childers claimed she had reached out to "The Irishman" producer to inform him about the notice from their older daughter’s school about her being repeatedly tardy while under his care when things erupted.

The "Aquarius" star, who shares joint legal and physical custody of her two daughters with Emmett, alleged that he replied to her email with a nasty exchange he had with his lawyer, amongst other messages. She claimed the conversation between the producer and his lawyer caused her to feel "legitimate fear for her safety and well-being."

Valencia, a family law attorney, wrote to Emmett, "When will you get some real money together so we can take this c–t out once and for all. This is not good for your girls," to which the 51-year-old replied, "I don’t have real money for this, and you know it."

The "You" actress also revealed that the "Midnight in the Switchgrass" producer verbally and emotionally abused her during their 8-year marriage, even going as far as to "put his hand around [her] neck and tell [her] that [she] could never get away from him."

Despite the allegations that Childers levied against Emmett, her TRO request was denied due to lack of proof, but a hearing to review the matter was set for November 14.

The many other alleged victim’s stories are also not mine to tell. I am horrified by what took place and the alleged emails that were exchanged between R*ndall E*mett and his counsel."
