Tekashi 6ix9ine is speaking up on Ye's behalf amid the rapper's recent controversy.

The last few days have been nothing less than turbulent for Ye — formerly known as Kanye West — as he suffered public outrage and backlash from critics and associated business partners following his anti-semitic statements.

In fact, stores have decided to stop selling his apparel, with Adidas announcing the end of its $1.5 billion deal with the "Praise God" rapper. However, it seems all hope is not lost, as he might have found an ally in 6ix9ine.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Speaks Highly Of Ye Amid Racist Controversy

Even though 6ix9ine and Ye might not have been seen together in public recently, the pair share an affectionate friendship. Thus, when the "KOODA" rapper appeared on Andrew Tate's "Tate Speech" podcast, he told the world that he was standing with the Chicago artist despite his controversial posts. The 26-year-old began by referring to the father-of-four as a "wolf" who was "standing on business." He added:

"I love Kanye. I love what he stands for, and he does what the f**k he wants. When there's billionaires, trillionaires, millionaires in your ear, and they're saying, 'Kanye, this is not the respectable thing.' He worked himself so much. He worked himself so high that he doesn't have to bow down to a dollar."

6ix9ine's sentiments might have to do with the fact that he and the "Four Five Seconds" hitmaker almost worked on a project as recently as January this year. Speaking on that, the "Supervillain: The Making of Tekashi 6ix9ine" star recounted:

"We stayed at the Nobu Hotel in Malibu. He stayed in a hotel a block away from his house. He was just working on music, but it was nothing that I wanted to work on. I respect he [sic] creative genius, but I'm never going to do something I don't want to do."

As for the controversy trailing Ye, you would recall that Instagram restricted his account after he dropped a few anti-semitic comments. The record producer, however, did not stop there as he moved to Twitter to write:

"I'm a bit sleepy tonight, but when I wake up, I'm going death con 3 [sic] On JEWISH PEOPLE. The funny thing is I actually can't be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda."

The tweet has since resulted in Ye reportedly losing his billionaire status and demands from critics to pull his songs from streaming platforms. Despite the heat, the 45-year-old has made no efforts towards righting his wrongs and backtracking on his comments. If anything, he is standing even more firmly on his opinions, per a report from US Weekly. During his time with Piers Morgan on October 19, the "Dark Fantasy" said:

"I will say I'm sorry for the people that I hurt with the 'death con' [comments]. I feel like I caused hurt and confusion. And I'm sorry for the families of the people that had nothing to do with the trauma that I had been through and that I used my platform where you say hurt people hurt people. I was hurt."

While the apology seemed to come from a good place, Ye had shown no hesitation in responding "absolutely not" when Morgan asked him if he regretted making the anti-semitic statements just a few minutes before.

6ix9ine Faces Legal Challenge After Skipping Out On Shows

In April, The Blast obtained legal papers that showed that 6ix9ine was getting sued for millions of dollars after he allegedly failed to show up at specific concerts in Hollywood, California.

According to the docs, a company called Streammusic alleged that it made a deal with the "FEFE" rapper to perform shows inside a private location in Los Angeles. The company, through the filing, claimed that they reached an agreement, including paying a whopping $150,000 upfront in  August 2021.

The papers stipulated that 6ix9ine allegedly agreed to "perform two musical concerts," and Streammusic was given access to stream a live audiovisual broadcast of the shows.

The "Gummo" hitmaker was also supposed to promote the concerts via his Instagram page, including posting "promotional videos" on his Stories and feed. Unfortunately, the rapper failed to fulfill his end of the bargain, ghosting the company and pocketing the $150,000. The company is asking for $2 million in damages.
