Ariana Grande Debuts New Blonde Look For Role As Glinda In 'Wicked' Movie

Ariana Grande is gearing up for her role in the new movie “Wicked” as she plays the character “Glinda.” The pop star continues to tease fans as she prepares for the movie.

In a recent post, the “Bang Bang” singer revealed her new look on her Instagram account. She looked scrumptious and ready to hit the set. In November 2021, it was announced that the "Sam & Cat" star would join Cynthia Erivo as the main star of the movie adaptation of the hit Broadway show.

We all know Grande for her signature brunette hair color, which she has proudly rocked through most of her entire music career. She, however, made a drastic change from her conventional hairstyle.

The “Side to Side” singer recently unveiled her new magical look on Instagram. The talented singer posted a picture of her hairdo while bringing in all the heat and tension to her timeline, making fans go gaga!

In the photo, she took a side shot that revealed she had changed her hair to a striking champagne-blonde color and even tinted her eyebrows to the same shade. She rocked the voluminous hair, which was tied back into a sleek low ponytail, however, she left tiny strands to fall below her left ear.

The image revealed a little cute moon tattoo inked on Grande's neck directly below her left ear as she also enthusiastically showed off her lovely pearl earring. 

The songwriter donned a round-neck black t-shirt and captioned her post, writing, “new earrings.” Her other celebrity friends, including her fans, who were clearly impressed with her post, spammed her comment section with words of adoration and support.

Singer/songwriter Victoria Monet wrote, “She’s arrived,” while Mac_daddy wrote, “AHHHHH IT’S HAPPENING!!! ???.“ A dramatic fan who couldn’t contain her happiness excitedly wrote, “okay, everyone stays calm, it's HAPPENING ? ✨ cute earrings babe lol. “

The multi-talented star, known for always delivering an outstanding project, was seen for the first time on the set of the film adaptation of the Broadway musical. Per The Blast, Grande looked breathtaking, dressed in an all-pink outfit while leaving the set of “Wicked” shot in London. 

She was accompanied by her supportive real estate husband, Dalton Gomez, who matched color with his darling wife by sporting a pink face mask.

In the photos captured, the “Santa Tell Me" singer donned a pink turtleneck, white skirt, and pink face mask. She also matched her outfit, carrying her belongings in a pink, fuzzy purse. 

As regards the musical play, “Wicked” brings into the limelight the untold stories of Oz’s most famous or rather infamous characters, namely the Wicked Witch of the West and her unlikely friend, Glinda the good witch, which Grande plays.

The show follows green-skinned star Elphaba from birth to college and through the life-changing events which eventually label her “wicked,” introducing spoiled rich girl Glinda, local prince and heartthrob Fiyero, and even the Wizard of Oz himself, who happens to be a troubled man and unfamiliar from the one people remember. 

While Elphaba tries to fight injustice and seeks to undo the mistakes of the past, dark secrets and personal tragedies shape the history of Oz, which kind of pays a reflection to the classic wizard of Oz story while at the same time changing fans’ perspective of it forever. 

The musical revolves around a cautionary tale about love, friendship, and trust while indirectly pointing out the fact that there are always two sides to a story.

The “Thank U, Next” songstress appears to be enjoying her time on set as she occasionally shares special moments spent preparing for her role.

As we previously reported, Grande shared cute photos of her and her co-star in cute ballet flats on her Instagram story. 

The pictures displayed each of their feet in ballet flats as the “Swindle” actress wore nude-colored flats while Erivo had on black-colored flats.

Captioning the post, Grande wrote, “I love you @cynthiaerivo,” while "Harriet" star sweetly reposted the post on her Instagram story and wrote, “I love you too, @arianagrande.”
