Marvel Studios finally dropped the official trailer this week for the upcoming sequel, "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania." Kang The Conqueror Takes The Stage In 'Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania' Trailer

In the new trailer, MCU hero Ant-Man (Rudd), his daughter Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton), Ant-Man's partner and girlfriend The Wasp/Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), the original Wasp/Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), and the original Ant-Man/Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) are sucked into the quantum realm. There they encounter new creatures and enemies, and it looks like Ant-Man is at the mercy of the despotic Kang.

It appears Kang wants the help of Ant-Man for a specific purpose, offering Lang and his friends and family a way home and a way to get "more time." What Kang wants in exchange is not clear, but if Kang is involved, it's likely nothing good.

The footage also shows that actor Bill Murray is part of the cast for this adventure. Randall Park also reprises his role as FBI Agent Jimmy Wood for the film.

Marvel's "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" will kick off the MCU's Phase 5 slate early next year. Meanwhile, the upcoming sequel, "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," will close out the film part of Phase 4 with a bang in November. However, technically, "The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special" will be the final installment of Phase 4 when it debuts on Disney+ later this December.

Phase 5 will be the second part of the MCU's "Multiverse Saga," in which Majors' Kang the Conqueror is expected to be a huge part. Majors made his first appearance in the MCU in last year's "Loki." There he appeared as a Kang variant, called He Who Remains, in the season finale during a confrontation with Loki and his variant, Sylvie.

"Quantumania" will mark Majors' first formal appearance as the one and only Kang the Conqueror, a significant and longtime villain of the Avengers and heroes of the Marvel Universe in the comics. Considering Marvel's "Avengers: The Kangy Dynasty" also has his name in the title, he should likely have a big role for that film. "Shang-Chi and the legend of the Ten Rings" filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton is attached to direct Majors in "The Kangy Dynasty."

"Avengers: The Kang Dynasty" and "Avengers: Secret Wars" were both originally supposed to bow in 2025, with "The Kang Dynasty" releasing in May and "Secret Wars" in November. However, Marvel Studios ultimately opted to move "Secret Wars" to May 1, 2026.
