Casey Woods first entered the "Bachelor" world during Season 18 of "The Bachelorette."Most recently, the 37-year-old appeared on Season 8 of "Bachelor In Paradise," however, he did not have the best exit.
During Monday's episode, October 17, Woods stirred up some drama after telling fellow cast member, Brittany Galvin, that Peter Izzo was talking about her behind her back, even saying she was only here to promote her social media.
The 37-year-old then started to feel faint, even informing bartender Wells Adams that he felt dizzy and may pass out. Within seconds, he collapsed to the sand.
Medics arrived on the scene, where they treated him for a serious injury which eventually removed him from the season. However, the show did not indicate just how serious the injury was.
Casey Woods Speaks Out On Injury
Casey Woods shared additional details of his injury on his Instagram stories live during the episode.
He posted a photo of his foot in a cast, which he made clear was not an old photo -- in fact, it was one that was taken four months after filming.
The reality star has undergone three operations since he left the show in June, and even after the surgeries, he still has three broken bones. “Just to be clear, this is my foot in a cast right now. Tonight. I haven’t walked in over 4 months,” he said.
Woods fainted on "Bachelor In Paradise" due to heat exhaustion and stress, but he then quickly compained of pain in his foot. That is when the ambulance took Woods off the beach.
Other Drama During "Bachelor In Paradise"
Within the first few days, Michael Allio broke down his walls and opened up about the loss of his wife, Laura, and how life is as a single parent to Sierra Jackson, who responded with support, and even named a group of stars after Michael’s family, including his late wife.
Unfortunately, that was the same night Michael ended things with Sierra, which threw her off guard. The single father said there was “something missing” between them, leaving Sierra heartbroken. Instead of staying on the beach to see who else would walk down, she decided to leave.
Michael then realized he was in danger of leaving “Paradise” as there was no one else on the beach to give him a rose now that he and Sierra broke up.
But then, Michael’s saving grace walked down the stairs — Danielle Maltby. The former “Bachelor” and “Bachelor In Paradise” contestant lost her fiancé to a drug overdose and admitted he and Michael have had past conversations as they have relatable pasts.
Once Danielle walked in, Michael also admitted to having “a little bit of history” with the 37-year-old, and he was excited to meet her.
This did not sit well with Sierra, who live Tweeted during the episode, shading Michael and saying things such as "#convient" and “I feel highly disrespected. I’m gonna go meditate.”
Additionally, to get some alone time, Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon were invited to this season of “Bachelor In Paradise,” which received some backlash from fans — especially since they got the second most amount of screen time of everyone on last Tuesday’s episode.
Jared opened up regarding the backlash the two have received, saying it makes him sad.
“I think we thought when we both went down to Paradise that we were just gonna go down and we’d be one of the former couples that always goes down and we’re there for a little while, we’re not going to get much screen time, it was more for us and then we had the opportunity to hang out and go on a date. Even when we were still down there, I think you and I both were under the impression that we’re not gonna get shown that much.”
“Bachelor In Paradise” airs on ABC every Monday and Tuesday. It is available to stream on Hulu the next day.
