In what might be the most shocking move by Kanye West this week, he is legally pushing to settle his divorce case with Kim Kardashian.
You heard that correctly, according to legal documents obtained by The Blast, Kanye is ready to settle his divorce with the 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians'star and had his lawyer file the proper paperwork.
Kanye filed a "declaration of disclosure" through his new lawyer, indicating the case is close to being over. Typically, in cases of this kind, the disclosure is filed within days or weeks of the final judgment and settlement being filed. Specifically, the document shows that Kanye has sent over all his financial information to Kim's legal team, and the former couple has agreed on how to split up the money and property.
Kanye West Is Ready To Settle His Divorce Battle With Kim Kardashian
He's the problem. In celebrity divorces, the ex-couples can "settle" all aspects of their divorce except custody. We expect Kanye isn't about to give up on wanting more say with his four children, especially where they are educated. As you know, the rapper and designer pushed the Kardashians to pull the children out of the private school in Los Angeles and put them in his "Donda" school.
As we reported...Kanye changed lawyers, in this case, several times, including being fired by one of the best in the business. Several weeks ago, Kanye hired Robert Stephan Cohen, known for repping Billionaires. The divorce attorney made waves while representing Melinda Gates in one of the most expensive divorces of all time in the United States.
Kanye West Is Taking HUGE Heat For Comments On George Floyld And Jewish Community
Interestingly, Kanye addressed issues with the custody of his kids on a recent podcast, saying, "Even to this day, I'll still give Kim advice on things that can help because that's gonna go to the kids. She's still got [them] 80% of the time...raise those children." But, reports indicate that the ex-couple is now not communicating at all. Both were spotted at North's basketball game this week, where Kim wouldn't even look in Kanye's direction. Plus, he was wearing a 'White Lives Matter' t-shirt. Sources close to Kardashian are saying she cut off all communication with the rapper, because he is in the middle of a "mental health episode."
So, is she right?! Well, Kanye is catching HUGE heat at the moment for his comment on George Floyd's death and Jewish involvement in the Entertainment business.
In the Floyd situation, Kanye joined the 'Drink Champs' podcast and said that George didn't actually die from a police officer's knee on his neck cutting off oxygen -- but instead, from Fentanyl. Kanye attacked the Jewish community several times this week, saying, "Every celebrity has Jewish people in their contract — this is not hate speech, this is the truth," Ye said while pointing out he can't be anti-Semitic as a black man.
George Floyd's Family Filing $250 Million Lawsuit Against Kanye West
Adding, "And these people, if you say anything out of the line with the agenda, then your career could be over." He also pointed out that the media never uses descriptive terms for him like "tycoon, billionaire, visionary, or inventor."
In the past few hours, Floyd's family responded to the remarks by filing a $250 million lawsuit against West along with a cease and desist letter to stop spreading false information. The family called West's outburst, "maliciously made statements that are inaccurate and unfounded, causing damage to Mr. Floyd’s estate and family."
The bottom line, it appears Kanye might be clearing his deck with Kim Kardashian, to prepare for a whole different type of battle.
