Brian Austin Green Gets Hair Loss Treatment
On Thursday, the “Beverly Hills, 90210” star took to Instagram to document his recent visit to Dr. Gabriel Chiu for a PRP visit to deal with hair loss. According to Healthline, PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma therapy, a three-step medical treatment in which a person’s blood is drawn, processed, and then injected into the scalp.
Each stage of the treatment takes about 4 to 6 weeks apart and maintenance treatments are required every 4 to 6 months. Dr. Chiu is a known medical practitioner who stars in Netflix’s hit series, “Bling Empire.” In the first slide of Green’s post, he posed for a picture with Dr. Chiu in what looked like a consulting room. Both had wide smiles on their faces showing expectancy for the procedure.
Accompanying the picture was a video of the procedure showing Green receiving the injections as he chatted with Dr. Chiu. The entire procedure was captured from start to finish, from the centrifuging of the platelets to the parting of Green’s hair and then the injecting.
The star actor captioned the post, poking fun at himself, writing, “PRP treatment to help with hair loss. I’m getting old 😂@drchiubhps did an amazing job. Thank you so much 😊. Swipe to see more !!”
