Brian Austin Green is getting candid about dealing with aging. The actor recently opened up about dealing with hair loss as he grows older and documented a recent visit to the hospital where he got treatment for the condition.

Green was praised by his fanbase for being vulnerable and open with his journey.

Brian Austin Green Gets Hair Loss Treatment

On Thursday, the "Beverly Hills, 90210" star took to Instagram to document his recent visit to Dr. Gabriel Chiu for a PRP visit to deal with hair loss. According to Healthline, PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma therapy, a three-step medical treatment in which a person’s blood is drawn, processed, and then injected into the scalp.

Each stage of the treatment takes about 4 to 6 weeks apart and maintenance treatments are required every 4 to 6 months. Dr. Chiu is a known medical practitioner who stars in Netflix’s hit series, "Bling Empire." In the first slide of Green’s post, he posed for a picture with Dr. Chiu in what looked like a consulting room. Both had wide smiles on their faces showing expectancy for the procedure.

Accompanying the picture was a video of the procedure showing Green receiving the injections as he chatted with Dr. Chiu. The entire procedure was captured from start to finish, from the centrifuging of the platelets to the parting of Green’s hair and then the injecting.

The star actor captioned the post, poking fun at himself, writing, "PRP treatment to help with hair loss. I’m getting old ?@drchiubhps did an amazing job. Thank you so much ?. Swipe to see more !!"

The post, which garnered over 20,000 likes, received an outpouring of support and encouragement from fans. One fan wrote, "Brian, the best part about all of this post is…IN MY 2 CENTS…YOU are allowing yourself to be vulnerable and helping others see - WE ARE ALL HUMAN! Nobody is perfect! BRAVO YOU, BRAVO!!!!!!!❤️??."

This mesmerized fan wrote, "David Silver forever young! ❤️❤️. Didn’t need it, and getting better with age my friend! Congrats on your new addition," while another added, "Glad your brave to show what your doing- Good job ???."

One comment read, "I don’t care how much hair you lose. You are fine af," while another remark that supported the sentiment read, "You are not getting old you are in your prime and will always be so gorgeous."

The 'BH, 90210' Star Battled Ulcerative Colitis

Green is an open book when it comes to his personal life and never shies away from letting his fans know when something is wrong. Such was the case in May when he opened up about his ulcerative colitis diagnosis.

As The Blast reported, during an interview, the 49-year-old discussed losing 20lbs due to a battle with ulcerative colitis. The "Desperate Housewives" alum was joined by his girlfriend, Sharna Burgess, who described how challenging the inflammatory bowel disease was for him.

"I didn't realize how debilitating it was until I saw him and watched weight drop off him," the DWTS alum said. Explaining the experience, Green said, "It's really just dietary, like, as long as I can keep things within my system that my body doesn't think I'm poisoning it with, then it doesn't fight back."

He added, "I would eat food, and literally, it was like, my body didn't process any of that. So then, when you start playing catch up with, like, staying on top of being hydrated enough, that's such a battle."

Green & Burgess’ Son Is 3 Months Old!

Green’s hair loss treatment comes a month after his son Burgess Zane, turned 3 months old. The doting mother took to social media to mark the milestone with a heartwarming tribute.

"3 months of you," Burgess began her tribute. "3 months of watching you grow, of being in awe of you, and of experiencing a love like I’ve never known." The dancer gushed about being a mother calling it the "coolest thing" she had ever done.

She concluded the heart-melting tribute, writing, "The magic, the love, the fear, the sleepless nights, and the memories of it all. I am the luckiest Mama in all the land."
