How Does Jamie Lee Curtis Look So Good?
The 63-year-old actress looks great for her age, so what's her secret? Embrace aging!
The "Halloween" actress calls herself âpro-agingâ and tells her own daughters âdonât mess with your face.â
âI did plastic surgery,â Curtis said in a recent interview. âI put Botox in my head. Does Botox make the big wrinkle go away? Yes. But then you look like a plastic figurine.â
She continued to explain, âWalk a mile in my shoes. I have done it. It did not work. And all I see is people now focusing their life on that.â
Curtis explained that she always tells her kids to focus on what they can contribute to help people. âHappiness is a tricky word because life is pain,â she continued to say. âI want them to be satisfied. I want them to feel that what theyâre doing matters, that what theyâre doing has value.â
Jamie Lee Curtis Is Saying Goodbye to Laurie Strode in âHalloween Endsâ
âHalloween Endsâ is the Halloween film fans have been waiting for. The final chapter of the franchise will have Jamie Lee Curtis say goodbye to Laurie Strode, the character she has played for the last 44 years, first appearing in John Carpenterâs original âHalloweenâ in 1978.
âThe universal understanding of Laurie Strode is that as this original âfinal girlâ she never gave up, always pushing through no matter what. It is beyond comprehension that that is my legacy,â Curtis said in a recent interview. âI feel like I havenât given up, that I have continued to try, but not at the level of Laurie Strode.â
She continued, âWhat Iâve gotten from her is way more than sheâs gotten from me. Because when Iâm gone, her legacy will become mine. Now, of course, I have my children, and that is my life, and thatâs crucial. But in the films, she is my legacy, and I could not be prouder of any legacy â unless itâs like Mother Teresa or, you know, a great great Nelson Mandela or somebody like that â but in a film character, thereâs not one you could name that I would rather be than Laurie Strode.â
Curtis stars in "Halloween Ends" alongside Andi Matichak, Kyle Richards, Rohan Campbell, James Jude Courtney, Omar Dorsey, Joanne Baron and Michael Barbieri.
âHalloween Endsâ debuts in theaters and streaming on Peacock on October 14.
