Elon Musk strikes gold with his latest business venture!
The billionaire is no stranger to making headlines for his ingenious ideas and controversial statements. However, the 51-year-old always finds a way to capitalize on the hype.
Earlier this week, the business mogul dived into the perfume industry via his firm, The Boring Company. Like his uniquely named organization, the father-of-ten dropped an uncommon perfume called "Burnt Hair."
Elon Musk Goes From Billionaire Businessman To A Perfume Salesman
Whenever the Tesla INC. CEO wishes to communicate with the public, the entrepreneur typically shares his thoughts on Twitter. Such was the case when Musk wanted to boast about his latest successful product.
The Edison Achievement Award honoree joined the long list of stars to release signature scents. However, the father-of-ten has a knack for choosing unique names, as his newly released fragrance "Burnt Hair" did not only have a weird name but an unmatched description.
The first introduction to the product came on October 9, when the Neuralink co-founder shared a picture of the perfume's blazing red design on Twitter alongside the words "coming soon." Three days later, Musk spammed fans with a series of tweets about the fragrance.
Drunk on his successful launch, the Tesla Inc. product architect gave himself a hearty pat on the back early Wednesday morning. The billionaire's statement read, "With a name like mine, getting into the fragrance business was inevitable – why did I even fight it for so long!?"
It appeared the South African native enjoys his new status because the 51-year-old changed his Twitter bio to "Perfume Salesman." Musk may have developed an interest in fragrances, but his love for investments has not dwindled.
Looking out for his cryptocurrency buddies, the OpenAI co-founder announced in a separate tweet that people could purchase his perfume using dogecoins. According to The Boring Company's website, the product retailed at $100 a bottle — a price many happily splurged.
In another Twitter update about "Burnt Hair," the SpaceX founder excitedly revealed that he racked up about $1 million from selling no less than 10,000 bottles. Enjoying himself, the billionaire tweeted that it "doesn't get more lit than this" before sharing more promotional posts about the product.

According to the fellow of the Royal Society (FRS), his perfume was an "omnigender" product and the "finest fragrance on Earth." As for the item's fragrance, one could only imagine its scent given its unique description.
Per the website, "Burnt Hair" incorporated the "essence of repugnant desire." If this statement did not scare people away, the description jokingly added that it was similar to "leaning over a candle at the dinner table" without doing the work.
The final promotional message promised that the product would make customers stand out from the crowd, especially while walking through the airport. Despite the perfume's weird name and description, it convinced 10,000 people it was worth $100.
Nonetheless, not everyone was impressed by the Tesla CEO's product, as some Twitter users bashed the billionaire's perfume. One individual claimed that if they wanted burnt hair, they would ride in a Tesla. At the same time, another critic slammed the entrepreneur for mocking people. The commenter believed Musk wanted to know what "ridiculous" item he could make fans buy by creating Burnt Hair.
A third social media user accused Musk of "trying to upstage" Gwyneth Paltrow's infamous vagina candle with his perfume. Despite the unpopular belief, this was not Musk's first venture outside of cars.
In 2018, the billionaire sold flamethrowers through The Boring Company in hopes of what he thought would "revolutionize barbecues." Two years after, he vented at Tesla short sellers by unveiling "short shorts," which allegedly sold out in minutes.
The IEEE Honorary Member Is Not Opposed To Expanding His Family
The Blast recently reported that the SpaceX founder surprised fans by revealing his desire to expand his large family. After welcoming twins with a Neuralink executive earlier this summer, the billionaire officially became a father of ten kids.
Although the 51-year-old noted that he was not expecting more babies, Musk added that he would not mind having more children in the future. As for why? The business mogul previously explained that his continued family expansion was to "help the underpopulation crisis."
