The Duggar Family has made a truckload of money on their reality television show, but who knew they were also real estate moguls? Jim Bob and Michele Duggar have just flipped a house in their home state of Arkansas for a shocking profit of over a MILLION dollars!
That’s right, The Duggars have actually been in the real estate business since before they were on television, and their latest flip is a massive one!
You have to see the photos of this place…
The ’19 Kids and Counting’ stars renovated a 10,000 square foot home known as the ‘Baylor Mansion,’ which is located in the town of Springdale, Arkansas. The couple purchased the property for $230,000 back in 2014.
So, the ‘Counting On’ family renovated and transformed the home of the past few years and has now sold the massive estate for $1.53 Million dollars.
If you do the math, considering the couple had to spend several hundred thousand bucks for upgrading the house, and the original purchase price….they still pocketed around a MILLION for their work. Now, that’s a flip! These two are giving the ‘Flip or Flop’ couple a run for their money.
The sale wasn’t as simple as it sounds…according to People Magazine, the couple first put the home on the market in May of 2019 for $1.8 Million but there were no takers. In December, they decided to work with an interior designer to furnish the inside of the property and placed it back on the market, and it sold!
“They’ve always looked for opportunities where they could improve something,” a rep for the couple told the magazine.
Adding, “They just like flipping houses. They like the construction business, the remodel, and seeing something go from bad to good — from unused to being attractive for others.”
The huge property was built in 1969, and is said to be designed to look like Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic ‘Round House.’ Interestingly, based on what is going on in this country right now, the first floor is round with a concrete wall around it, and was “supposedly built to withstand a nuclear attack.”
How does it do with Coronavirus??
As we reported, it seems we may be seeing the family again on screen after the family was spotted in early March filming. This would be the 11th season of ‘Counting On’ and looks like it picking up steam after a Duggar sister reunion earlier this month.
