The controversial rapper, in a surprise twist, changed his Instagram profile picture to that of his former mother-in-law, Kris Jenner. Ye and Kris are known to have a tumultuous relationship as the rapper never shies away from calling her out publicly.

However, it looks like all that anger might be a thing of the past!

Kanye West Changes Profile Pic To Kris Jenner

On Wednesday, the "Donda" rapper shocked his 17.5 million fans when his profile picture on Instagram, which is usually pitch black, was switched for a headshot of Kris. Ye chose one of the matriarch's loveliest pictures, where she dons a white suit and rocks a short haircut. It's the same one the momager uses on her Instagram account.

It didn't take long for fans to spiral out of control and believe Ye was coming for the momager's blood. One fan wrote, "Look love him or hate him, he’s funny ? ?," while another added, "he’s actually very real for this."

This fan shared a hilarious photo of Kris in front of a computer with her mouth wide open, writing, "kris logging onto to insta later and seeing it." Another asked, "did he just, kris us?"

This user joked, "Kanye west was kris Jenner this whole time???," while another fan referenced the Yeezy Founder's erratic 2020 tweets where he referred to his kids' grandmother as a white supremacist, writing, "I miss when Kanye compare Kris Jenner to Kim Jon un."

Another fan who shared the sentiment tweeted, "Ever since Kanye called Kris Jenner Kris Jong-un, my life changed and I started listening to his music. He’s a genius," while this netizen praised the habit, noting, "Kanye dealing with White Supremacy rightfully so."

This fan thought the changed profile picture was a way of Ye sending a message to Kris, who doesn't follow him on Instagram "lol. One thing about Kanye is he will get the message across one way or another!"

Following the uproar his actions gave, the Donda Academy founder removed the image but, in a short while, returned it, along with a message explaining his decision. In an Instagram Story update, the 24-time Grammy Award winner wrote, "I posted Kris with thoughts of peace and respect. Let's Change the narrative."

A History Of Ye's Tirade Against Kris Jenner

It comes as no surprise that fans' didn't initially think Ye's intention with Kris' picture was any good, given how just weeks ago, he publicly accused her of pimping her daughters. As The Blast reported, in his usual pattern of ranting on Instagram, the record producer turned his wrath towards the matriarch.

Sharing a photo of Victoria Villarroel, Kylie Jenner’s former assistant, Kanye slammed Kim hard, writing, "Don’t let Kris make you do playboy like she made Kyle and Kim do Hollywood is a giant brothel Pornography destroyed my family I deal with the addiction Instagram promotes it Not gonna let it happen to Northy and Chicago."

He probably was referencing Kim's 2007 nude shoot for Playboy Magazine, which was documented on "Keeping Up With The Kardashians."

The SKIMS founder has, however, opened up about regretting her decision to pose nude. Her younger sister Kylie has also posed nude for the magazine with her baby daddy Travis Scott.

Kris was clearly not having the public bashing and seemingly sent Kim to rein in her ex-husband, and as expected the rapper divulged the conversation via screenshot. In the message supposedly from Kim, she write, "From my mom- PLEASE Tell him to stop mentioning my name. I’m almost 67. Years old, and I don’t always feel great, and this stresses me to no end."

However, the father of her kids pays her no mind as he replies, "Y’all don’t have so so over my black children and where they go to school. They will not do playboy and sex tapes. Tell your Clinton friends to come get me. I’m here."

This isn't Ye's first go at the 66-year-old businesswoman. In 2020 while he was running for President, he compared Kris to North Korea’s Supreme Leader, Kim Jong-un, calling her "Kris Jong-un."
