Mark Wahlberg is not afraid to get in someone’s face when it comes to his daughter.
The “Spenser Confidential” star appeared on Wednesday’s episode of “The Ellen Show” and detailed his experience at the daddy-daughter dance he attended a few weeks ago with his 10-year-old, Grace. While most of his story was cute and hilarious, the actor confessed to pulling the DJ aside to have a word with him about the song he was playing. Mark did not reveal which inappropriate song it was but he sprung into action.
“I’m sitting there with one other dad and I’m like, ‘This is not an edited version of this song,'” Wahlberg told Ellen. “There are explicit lyrics being played at a school dance for girls… no good!”
He continued, “I said, ‘What are you doing?’ I’m hearing F-bombs and this and that. I’m like, ‘Not Okay!'”
Wahlberg said that his daughter and he had a great time at the dance but there wasn’t actually any dancing going on.
“I didn’t get one dance,” Mark explained. “I said we were gonna do the whole big circle and I was gonna go off and like, she said, ‘Dad if you embarrass me I will never talk to you again.’ But what she did do is she hung out with me.”
It just goes to show you that every kid is embarrassed by their parents even if your dad is the super cool Mark Wahlberg.
Mark took time out of his busy schedule to make a trip to a Catholic church for Ash Wednesday and shared a message about the important time before the Easter holiday.
“People always ask what are you going to give up for Lent. I think more importantly, let’s try to do more. More love, more peace, more acceptance, more caring and more kindness. Have a beautiful Lenten season. God bless you all. I’ll see you on Easter,” Wahlberg told his millions of followers.
