It seems Britney Spears and Sir Elton John might just have a music video in the works to promote their new song "Hold Me Closer."

The remix of his 1971 hit single "Tiny Dancer" has been topping the charts and both singers have been vocal about thanking fans for the song's success. Considering the tune's popularity, it makes sense that they'd want to try to break some music video records too, which is why one is reportedly around in the works!

On Saturday morning, one day after the song dropped on August 26, sources close to both Britney Spear and Elton John told TMZ that a music video for "Hold Me Closer" is definitely in the works. However, the source couldn't say what the music video will look like or even if both stars would appear in it.

Regardless, it looks like Britney is definitely making a comeback in the industry. The source revealed that she had even been invited to the MTV Video Music Awards this weekend, but had to turn it down due to a scheduling conflict in Los Angeles.

Right now, sources indicate that Britney isn't about to join Elton John on tour, or release any new songs, but fans are hoping that all of her success with "Hold Me Closer" inspires her to reboot her career. This is her first song in six years, and the first since her 13-year conservatorship ended last November.

'We Are Like #1 In 40 Countries... Holy S---'

A few hours after the song dropped, the "Gimme More" singer posted a video sitting topless in the tub as she says "Hello Sir Elton John" in a fake British accent. She then says, "We are like #1 in 40 countries" before she shouts, “HOLY S---” into the camera, which is zoomed in on her face.

“I’m in the tub right now and I’m about to go have the best day ever and I hope you’re well,” she added before the video cuts off.

The “Rocket Man” singer posted her video message to his own Instagram account, adding, “Hey Britney!! Thank you for this message. You’ve made my day!! Hope everyone has the best day dancing to our song!”

In a separate Instagram post, he wrote, “I'm thrilled with the response to Hold Me Closer! I wanted to do a fun, happy summer track so was ecstatic when Britney agreed to be a part of this song! She truly is an icon, one of the all-time great pop stars and I love her dearly. I hope you all love it! ??.”

Fans showered the post with praise, with one fan writing, “Thank you for bringing our girl back to music!! We love it?❤️.” However, it's actually another deleted Tweet that Britney shared on Friday afternoon that makes fans think she's getting back into making new music and performing again.

The "Oops!... I Did It Again" singer deleted her Instagram account a few days ago and has since taken to Twitter to share all of her posts. On Friday afternoon, she posted a video of her dancing with her backup dancers and then quickly deleted it an hour later.

"Me in the studio rehearsing for 4 hours learning to new music proving that my 13-year-old heart could still bounce … well trying !!!!" she wrote in the caption. "This was filmed 3 months before my free family sent me away to sit in a chair for four months, and wouldn’t let me walk out the front door ?? !!!"

She added, "Psss this is from 3 years ago ??‍♀️?? !!!" in the comments, which had fans eagerly calling her a "queen" and calling for a career comeback.

In another deleted post, Britney told her fans that she was going to have the "best day ever" and then followed it up with some NSFW photos where she poses nude with only a towel on her lap, to celebrate the success of "Hold Me Closer." She deleted a few of them, but others still remain up as of Saturday morning. The full photo dump can be seen here.
