During a recent appearance on "The Late Late Show with James Corden," (via DailyMail) Momoa claimed that he now has a "Dad bod." The actor discussed his hernia surgery, which he had in March, and explained that it had forced him to slow down his fitness regime significantly.
When host James Corden asked him if he had fully recovered from the surgery, Momoa said, "All good. Not really doing sit-ups. Trying to keep that dad bod going for a little bit longer." When Corden quipped that Momoa's body doesn't qualify for a dad bod, Momoa replied, "Well, I don't want to do any more sit-ups!"
At the March Academy Awards, Momoa had previously discussed his hernia surgery on the red carpet. He said, "I had surgery yesterday... [it's because of] throwing bodies around. I'm getting old, bro. It ain't that CinemaCon from 2016; you know what I'm saying?"

Momoa said, "I messed up my eyes. I just got something in it that kinda cut it up, and then I've gotta get surgery. I have a hernia. I've got ribs out. I'm just getting beat up." Momoa said his enthusiasm gets him in those situations when asked why he's always getting injured on set.
The "Dune" actor said, "I just kinda give it. I love my job and I get a little too excited. The age thing. I'm an aging superhero now."
Jason Momoa Had An Intense Fitness Regime

Momoa continued, "I love carbs but denial is good training for the mind. After finishing a one-month cleanse, I had a giant bowl of pasta and I swear to Christ it was like I was on heroin." He also shared some of his guilty pleasures, such as "cigars and booze."
