The 16-year-old has been missing for three weeks after attending a party at Prosser Family campground on August 5th.

Law enforcement officers believe they recovered the body of the missing teenager on Sunday, August 21st.

In a press conference, officers said the body found was “more than likely” that of Kiely.
The case is still an active investigation and the victim found has not yet been positively identified according to Nevada County Sheriff Shannan Moon.
“Last night we did receive some information of the recovery of the vehicle that we’ve been searching for and it was located inside Prosser Lake,” Moon said at a Monday news conference. “It was located within a search zone that we have been searching since the very beginning of our operation.”
Moon noted that lone body found inside is believed to be the missing teen, though she did not name Kiely.

At the time of her disappearance, Kiely was driving a 2015 silver Honda CRV.
Kiely was last seen wearing green Dickies pants, a black tank top and jewelry.
Her friend Sami Smith shared footage from the night of Kiely’s disappearance.
She exclusively told The U.S. Sun, "The last recording sighting of her was 12.40am. I was the last person to speak to her at 12.36am, when she asked me if I still needed a ride home."
Kiely’s phone was last pinged near Prosser Lake according to Police.
Sami also spoke to Fox News Digital and revealed Kiely was likely too inebriated to drive.
The vehicle was located by a volunteer dive group called Adventures With Purpose.
It was found upside down about 14 feet beneath the lake’s surface, which has dropped about 3 feet since the teen first disappeared, according to Nevada County Sheriff’s Capt. Sam Brown.
On Monday, August 22, Kiely’s family released a statement.
Kiely's Family Speaks Out About Latest Discovery
“We have weathered a storm of unfathomable force, and it is purely thanks to the army of warriors, matriarchs, healers, and helpers holding us up that we continue to stand today,” the statement read. “While we accept this sadness cast under death’s shadow, the rising sun shines light upon us, reminding us not to mourn our loss, but to celebrate Kiely’s spirit and the gift that we all received in knowing her. Kiely will surely remain with us even though we will not get her back.”
Kiely bore a striking resemblance to Gabby Petito, who was murdered almost one year ago.
Much like Gabby’s missing person case, hundreds of volunteers have come together to help find Kiely.
This month marks the one-year-anniversary of Gabby’s passing. On August 27th, Gabby’s parents have asked everyone across the world to “Light The Night” to honor the victims of domestic violence.
“August 27th, Light Up The Night. Whether a candle, lantern or string lights in your backyard, light up the darkness for a few moments to honor those who lost their lives to domestic violence. There are some that bring a light so great to the world, that even after they have gone,” the message read.
