'I Never Dreamed I'd Actually Meet You,' Donnie Wahlberg Says In Birthday Tribute To Himself

Donnie Wahlberg is embracing adding a number to his age. In an Instagram post of the now 53-year-old singer and actor lifting his shirt up on stage, Wahlberg explained how he's feeling about getting older. "Hello 53. I'm happy to meet you. I appreciate you and I'm thankful for you being in my life. I never dreamed I'd actually meet you, but if you're half as much fun as your friend 52 was, I'm gonna love every second of you! Let's get this sh*t started!"

With more than 4,900 comments and 41,000 likes on his post, it's safe to say his fans are happy to meet the 53-year-old version of the singer. Birthday wishes came from near and far with comments from many celeb friends including, Ronnie Devoe of New Edition, En Vogue, Salt N Peppa, Carnie Wilson, Sheila E, Vinnie Brown of Naughty by Nature, as well as countless fans.

The "Blue Bloods" star's wife Jenny McCarthy, 49, also posted a video tribute on her Instagram page for her hubby's special day captioned, "Happy birthday to the most amazing, loving, adorable, sexy as hell husband alive @donniewahlberg. You light up all of our lives and are a gift to this world. I love you, mister." In the video, McCarthy is seen eating a cupcake while checking out photos of her "beautiful husband" online and saying, "Since I can't be with my beautiful husband on his birthday, I thought why not celebrate with a little cupcake in his honor and check out hot pictures of him online."

Wahlberg commented with a bunch of laughing emojis and "thank you my queen. i miss you so much."

The day before Wahlberg's birthday, he decided to have a little fun with getting older and take his fanbase along for the comical ride. He posted a video using what he called an "old man filter" with the background sound, "You ever think that maybe there's more to life than being really, really, really, ridiculously good looking?" He captioned the video, "To those wishing me an early #happybirthday - thank you so much. Even though doing so is like applying this old man #filter to me. It ages me before I'm ready!"

McCarthy jumped right into the comments to say, "this is everything. I can't wait to grow young with u. No matter how old we look." An endless sea of laughing emojis filled the comment section. Other comments included, "Thank god this is a filter. I was slightly concerned for a minute," "This is how I always feel with each birthday too. You are aging like fine wine though so it will be a while until the old man filter is reality," "OMG...didn't read the post, just saw the reel and thought 'holy crap Donnie Wahlberg is looking old,'" and many others. Some even wished him an early happy birthday despite his message to not rush it.

Wahlberg and McCarthy got married on August 31, 2014 after dating for a year. Last year on their seventh wedding anniversary, the two renewed their vows.  In an Instagram post on their anniversary, Wahlberg wrote, "#HappyAnniversary Jenny! Seven years - no itch! I love you more than ever, Mrs. Wahlberg. To be blessed with a partner whose goal is to make sure that I love myself more and more each day - is to be truly blessed." This is the second marriage for each of them. McCarthy was married to John Asher, who she shares her son Evan, 20. Wahlberg was married to Kimberly Fey who he shares sons Xavier, 29, and Elijah, 21.
