Is Maralee Nichols Shading Tristan Thompson For Child Support?

Maralee Nichols is fast becoming the queen of shade!

Since welcoming her son Theo with Tristan Thompson during a secret affair that happened while he was dating ex-girlfriend Khloe Kardashian, the Instagram model has been in her lane.

Nichols has yet to publicly comment on the basketballer's philandering ways and his alleged lack of financial and emotional support toward their son, but that hasn't stopped her from subtly shading his incompetence as a father.

Nichols's latest posts on Instagram had fans feeling like she was sending a message to the serial cheater

Over the weekend, the personal trainer showed off her killer gym outfit from one of her workout sessions. Nichols looked breathtaking as she put her curves on display in the figure-hugging two-piece ensemble, consisting of a pair of leggings and a long-sleeved crop top.

She shared a mirror selfie with her perky derrière and turned towards the camera as she posed slightly sideways. Nichols placed one hand on her lithe waist while the other held her phone up. She kept a fierce look, her blue eyes piercing through the camera, as she seductively pouted her lips.

Her brunette hair was styled with a center parting and subtle beach curls that gracefully fell down her shoulders. While Nichols' body was no doubt an attention stealer, it was her cryptic caption that got tongues wagging.

"Less time on captions, more time on actions ??‍♀️," she wrote before urging her followers to "never skip leg day." Fans wasted no time rushing to the comments to decipher what Nichols' cryptic caption meant.

One fan suggested, "Oh gosh mama throwing a little shade hell yeah he need to start paying up ?," while another who believed it was about Khloe, wrote, "Girl yes living your best life! Looking better than any of those girls without saying names!"

This user wrote, "Healthy ✅✅✅ vs Revenge Body mess ❎❎❎," while another added, "Love the shade ?."

Another comment read, "The dead beat will have a son that hates him and it will be his own fault. So sorry you have to deal with this shit. It’s none of our business but the visibility is so freaking irking."

While Nichols didn't mention anyone's name, her tumultuous relationship with her baby daddy makes many believe he is the recipient of the shade.

As you may know, Nichols welcomed baby Theo in December but the road to Tristan accepting paternity was a long one filled with lawsuits. After the Cleveland Cavaliers denied Nichols' son for weeks, he finally confirmed he was Theo's father after a paternity test.

Nevertheless, that didn't make the athlete take on responsibility for his mini-me. Leaked messages from the messy legal battle saw the Canadian native telling Nichols' he won't be an involved father.

Per Page Six, an excerpt of the text message read, "All you will have is a baby with a father who has zero involvement with the child and a few hundred dollars of child support a month."

It seems Tristan kept to his word as a source close to Nichols confirmed to US Weekly in June, "Tristan is very absent from Theo’s life. He hasn’t met Theo nor has he initiated any meetings. He doesn’t have any immediate plans to meet his son face to face."

The insider noted that not only has the basketballer not spent any time with his son, but he "hasn’t been in communication with Maralee and hasn’t sent her any money for child support to date."

The source added that the child support "aspect hasn’t legally been resolved yet.”
