Rock legend Courtney Love is taking care of business!
The former Hole frontwoman has just crossed off an important item on her to-do list. Love, the 58-year-old widow of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, has been hard at work on a memoir of her life for a decade, which makes the second directly-affiliated account of her life story; she previously released a book featuring a collection of journal entries called "Dirty Blonde" in the mid-aughts.

Love isn't the only member of the Nirvana camp who has spent some quality time reflecting on their life story for a memoir. Last fall, former Nirvana drummer, Dave Grohl, released an incredibly successful memoir, "The Storyteller."
Grohl, 53, candidly touched on his relationship with Cobain, who passed at the age of 27 in 1994 which effectively marked the end of the band, in his memoir.
Grohl, who has been at odds with Love for decades, had a tough time putting pen to paper in order to tell stories of his relationship with Cobain.
"It's one thing to write about getting stitches when you're 12 years old or it's one thing to talk about taking your kids to the daddy-daughter dance, it's another thing to write about something that you've barely spoken about with people close to you," he explained in an interview with "Amanpour and Company" via Loudersound.com, last year.
In Love's initial announcement on social media pertaining to the finishing of her book, she did not mention Cobain but detailed that she had written about her "mother/families wealth" in an effort to take charge of the 'rags-to-riches' narrative that has followed Love in the media for nearly three decades. Love's recent Instagram post was full of details about what fans could expect in the memoir.
If you're expecting a sensational take on Love's life, focusing on the more tabloid-friendly aspects of her life and marriage to Cobain, (whom she married and welcomed Frances Bean Cobain back in 1992), look elsewhere!
Love stressed telling an authentic story is the best road taken.
"F--k an untrue narrative bc that's what people 'like,'' she writes in her caption. "The truth is so much more fun, more rich, makes more sense..."
Smells Like... A Paper Shortage?

When it comes to a timeframe for when curious minds will have the chance to divulge in Love's truth, her fans may have to wait a bit longer!
A common issue in the world of celebrity memoirs written so far this year also affects the release of Love's memoir, the title of which comes from Hole's 1994 song "Doll Parts."
Earlier this month we reported on the current status of Britney Spears' highly-anticipated memoir. The reason for the delay pertains to a "paper crunch", according to Publisher's Weekly.
Love cited the same reason for a blurry release date timeline in her Instagram post.
"There's a (no kidding) very real paper supply chain back up," she wrote, "so don't ask me when..."
She did, however, slip in a positive reminder. "(the important thing is that it's good now)," she added to the end of her statement.
What Else Has Love Been Up To Lately?

Earlier this spring, Love told a personal story on social media, pertaining to her longtime friend Johnny Depp while he had been in the midst of the infamous defamation trial with ex-wife Amber Heard.
"I don't really wanna make judgments publicly," Love shared. "I just want to tell you that Johnny gave me CPR in 1995 when I overdosed outside of The Viper Room." (via The Blast)
The Viper Room had been founded by Depp in Los Angeles two years earlier. The nightclub had been where late actor River Phoenix had passed of an overdose that same year. (via Daily Mail)
