The Sorrentinos Dog Died After Many Years With The Family

In July, The Blast reported that the Sorrentino clan experienced some devastating emotions following losing their longtime companion and dog Moses.

Mike announced the news of the dog's passing with a photo series to show his family's connection to the late pet.

The first image showed the "Celebrity Big Brother" star squatting next to Lauren as they posed next to the dog in their living room.

A scroll through the other pictures revealed the intense affection that the Sorrentinos felt for the golden retriever as the photo dump included an old snap of Mike holding him when he was still a puppy.

Other images included Moses, affectionately named Mosey, at a younger age posing beside Romeo, who is a toy car. The dog also joined Mike and Lauren when the couple announced their son's arrival in May 2021.

The last slide featured the whole family at Romeo's first birthday bash — the lovebirds posed with the celebrant in front of blue and green balloon decorations while the late dog laid down by their feet.

The Staten Island native's pain could be felt through the post's caption:

"It's with a heavy heart that we share that Moses, our beloved family dog, has just passed. We cherish the time we had and believe that, in fact, all dogs do go to Heaven."

The father-of-one ended his statement by appreciating his fans for their prayers and support during this challenging period.

In response to Moses' death, Mike's fans, followers, and friends flooded the post with over 470k likes plus thousands of sympathetic messages.

Fellow "Jersey Shore" cast members, including Vinny Guadagnino, Jenni Farley, DJ Pauly D, and Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, dropped condolence messages.

The Sorrentinos previously disclosed that the golden retriever suffered from hemangiosarcoma, a deadly canine cancer.

Moses became a member of the Sorrentino family in 2012 and has attained celebrity status like his owners following his appearances on their reality shows.
