Artist And Fashionista: North West Follows Footsteps Of Both Her Famous Parents

Another artist in the family? It certainly looks like that's a possibility with North West. Proud mom Kim Kardashian recently shared her daughter's Yeezy design sketches in an Instagram story. Two photos showed the artwork North, 9, has been working on and other photos show the mini-fashionista posing in her father Kanye West's new Yeezy sunglasses that have yet to be released.

The drawings appeared to be done with a black magic marker on some type of blue material, and featured alien-like faces with braided hair. The images were captioned, "NORTH SKETCHES @YEEZY."

It's no surprise to anyone who's been following North's life that she's got some serious artistic abilities. Kardashian, 41, spoke about her daughter's interest in drawing and painting in a video for Vogue in 2021. She even said that her child's artwork is considered some of her favorite objects of her affections. "She's a really really good artist and she loves to paint," Kardashian said in the video while showing a painting that North did. "So I love seeing like the personality and moods and everything that she goes through and is feeling, it's really been an amazing hobby of hers."

Back in early 2021, Kardashian posted a painting that North did and captioned it, "Just had to post this on my main feed bc it's a North West Classic!" The post was liked by more than 2.6 million people and has nearly 25,000 comments of support, love, and words of encouragement. "She selling artwork yet. I see a future there," "Just beautiful! She needs an art studio," "Your baby is gifted and talented," and a sea of red hearts, flames, and heart-eyed emojis as well as other happy messages filled the comment section.

"She did this about two years ago," Kardashian said in the Vogue video while holding up the painting of a snowy mountain. This means that North was just six when she painted it.

In the video, Kardashian also showed off some other paintings - one of a wolf, one of the family's bearded dragon, and a charcoal piece that North did when she had COVID. Kardashian said, "maybe that was just her emo mood."

Kardashian is also mom to sons Saint, 6, and Psalm, 3, and daughter Chicago, 4, with ex West. Besides taking after her dad as a budding artist, North also takes after her mom with her fashionista style. North modeled the futuristic looking shades from her dad's, Yeezy line, while taking a selfie of her stylish fit.

North is also known to give her mom fashion advice and complain that she wears "too much black." Earlier this year, People reported that Kardashian said that her oldest child is "very opinionated." "I showed up at her school on Valentine's Day wearing head-to-toe pink, and she got so excited she ran over and hugged me," Kardashian said. "[Of course] she opened my coat, saw the black lining, and says, 'Mom you're still wearing black.'"

And it's not just about clothes that North is opinionated about. She is also all about her hairstyles. Hairstylist Chris Appleton said North is "very particular" about her hair. "I'm always doing North's hair. She's like peeking over the glam session. I'll be like, 'North, you have to make an appointment.' And she's like, 'Okay.' I mean, I love doing it," Appleton told People.
