There's no need to put a filter on Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner's grievances with Instagram!

The sister moguls are sounding off about the social network's gradual shift to featuring more video-based programming on users' feeds, which seems to be taking precedent over Instagram's standard photo-sharing model.

Since the app's 2010 launch, Instagram has gradually become a popular platform for celebrities to directly connect with fans by sharing content via photo sets, and more recently, utilizing the platform's outrageously popular 'Stories' feature to post up-to-the-minute updates on their busy lives.

Influencers have also found a home on the app to organically curate a following, and give their businesses a space to flourish.

Both 'KarJenner' sisters know a thing or two about using Instagram as a tool to further their respective businesses. As of this writing, Jenner's wildly successful Kylie Cosmetics has 25.9 MILLION followers, and Kardashian's SKIMS currently has just over four million followers, at 4.3 million.

The Blast has been on hand to frequently cover every aspect of the duo's biggest moments over the years, both respectively and as family.

Both Jenner, 24, and Kardashian, 41, have turned to the platform in the past while facing particularly tough moments. In the midst of her divorce from superstar ex-husband Kanye West, Kardashian famously removed 'West' from her name on social media, including the 'Gram.

Jenner faced backlash on the platform two years ago for allegedly culturally appropriating a BIPOC hairstyle. She quickly deleted the post.

She has also repeatedly lit up the platform with bikini shaps over the years.

Jenner recently revealed via her Instagram story she had recently launched a new lip product as her reason for being "M.I.A." on the app. (via The Blast)

The 'KarJenners' Fight Back!

The news of Instagram's new content shift, however, does not seem to be 'ticking' for the duo!

Kardashian and Jenner took to the app yesterday to express their frustration with its format. According to a CNBC News report, the sisters "posted a message that read, 'Make Instagram Instagram Again', adding "Stop trying to be tiktok I just want to see cute photos of my friends."

Instagram's CEO Responds To The 'KarJenner'-Influenced Dissatisfaction

The Kardashian and Jenner family's influence on the platform was on full display earlier today, after its CEO filmed a video message to give more insight into the platform's new direction.

Adam Mosseri had plenty to say about Instagram's gradual changes.

According to Pop Crave's tweet over the coverage, Mosseri shared, "We're going to have to lean into that shift while continuing to support photos," referring to video-based content a la the company's reels, and, as Kardashian and Jenner had previously pointed out, TikTok.

He attributed the reason for the change to its users. According to CNBC, Mosseri "believes [Instagram] will become more video focused over time since it is what people are liking, sharing and consuming on the platform."

The outlet also reported Instagram is testing a full-screen feature, which Mosseri explained was still a work in progress.

"It's not yet good," Mosseri went on to explain in the video, about the feature.

As of this writing, neither Kardashian nor Jenner has commented on Mosseri's video.
