Khloé Kardashian-Tristan Thompson Baby #2: Cooking Up Reality Show Content?

The Kardashians are back at it AGAIN!

By now we know that a week doesn't go by without members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan dominating the news space — whether it's for failed photoshops, sizzling bikini pictures, juicy details about their romantic lives, or well the Kar-Jenners just being the Kar-Jenners.

However, just when we thought we had seen it all and knew all that the famous family could be up to, we were smacked in the face with a wrecking ball — at least I was — when news broke that Khloé Kardashian was welcoming a second child, not just with anybody but with her cheating ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson!

Whew! It's a lot to indeed take in.

Pardon my lame attempt at trying to merge cheating and relationship, but that was the main vibe of Khloé and Tristan's love story.

We all know the story, the pair became an item in late 2016 as Khloé was moving on from her failed marriage to basketballer, Lamar Odom.

He was supposed to be the knight in shining armor who showered Khloé with love and gave her the one thing she had been praying for — a child. However, that fairytale soon came crashing down when the Chicago Bulls player cheated on her while she was pregnant with their now-4-year-old daughter, True Thompson.

The pair went back and forth, Khloé giving Tristan chances and the basketballer squandering it away with several affairs — including Tristan kissing her younger sister Kylie Jenner's then-best friend Jordyn Woods.

However, it seems the straw that broke the camel's back for Khloé and her tired fans, who had been clamoring for her to dump his ass, happened in December 2021.

Tristan fathered a child with Houston-based trainer Maralee Nichols and the news only broke because she took the athlete to court for not paying child support for his child.

For those that watched Hulu's "The Kardashians," we saw how the drama played out in reality and boy was it super messy! As seen in the two final episodes of season one, Khloé's sisters, Kim, Kourtney, Kylie, and Kendall, stumbled on the news online like the rest of us.

Tristan didn't even have the courtesy to let her know he fathered a child with the girl he cheated on during his 30th birthday celebration — a celebration Khloé organized for him.

Keep in mind that while Nichols' pregnancy saga was going on in secret, Khloé had completed her new home which she hoped she and Tristan would move into and kickstart their journey of expanding their family. Welp! That didn't end up happening.

In a confessional in the final episode, Khloé bared her heart. "I'm not sure that there's one thing that hurts more than the other in a situation like this," she said in response to a question asking what she was particularly pained about.

She continued, "Everything is an act of betrayal. Everything is a lie. Everything is manipulation. It's deceit. 'Did Tristan have every opportunity to tell me? Yes' 'Was Tristan going to tell me if a baby wasn't involved? Absolutely not.' And that shows a lot about his character. The entire thing is despicable."

If Khloé felt this way and meant the words she said, why in hell is she having a second kid with the man who utterly humiliated her? Well, I have two theories.

Hear me out! The Kar-Jenners live by one rule and one rule only — family is everything. The clan has carefully created an image and system where nothing whatsoever can come between them and it has worked.

But alongside that image of family first, is a need to give fans the perception that they are "different" and not involved in the "baby daddy" stigma that has plagued most famous women.

If you take a good look at the Kar-Jenners, you would notice they all have their children with the same man. In fact, only Kim is somewhat an exemption to the rule in that she had her four kids — North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm — while legally married to her estranged husband Kanye West.

For eldest sister Kourtney, she had her three kids — Penelope, Mason, and Reign — with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick. They were never married. Kourtney is, however, now married to Travis Barker and they are trying for a child.

The youngest sister Kylie had her two kids, Stormi Webster and her son — whose name remains unknown — with her rapper boyfriend Travis Scott.

Kylie and Scott's relationship is quite eyebrow-raising as they welcomed their first child less than a year after meeting, meaning she conceived in about just three months after they were first linked in April 2017.

And no, it couldn't have been a mistake! Nothing is a mistake with the Kar-Jenners!

Neither Kylie nor Scott have taken their relationship to the next level, but they have since expanded their family.

Could it be that the Kar-Jenners are so keen on having their children with the same man to separate them from other baby mamas who have kids with different men? Bring to mind their archnemesis, Blacc Chyna

Are they so hell-bent on being "respected" that it doesn't matter how awful the man is to them, they wouldn't budge on having kids with him?

It is no news that nothing ever happens to the Kar-Jenners by accident. Thanks to the genius momager Kris Jenner, many believe everything about the famous clan is carefully constructed/curated — from Kim's infamous sex tape to their choices in men — to paint them in a certain light and earn them major coins!

Everything is content for the Kar-Jenners and Khloé having a child with her cheating ex might not be off limits. Just days ago on Monday, July 11, the trailer for season 2 of "The Kardashians" was released.

In the trailer, we get to see the women having a great life. Kim and her new boyfriend Pete Davidson are thriving, Kourtney and Barker are going strong and preparing to walk down the aisle, and Kylie and Scott are thriving.

Khloé seems to be the one sister — apart from Kendall who lives quite lowkey and is linked to NBA player Devin Booker — without a juicy storyline.

She is single and seemingly has nothing "controversial" or "exciting" going on for her. Could the news of a child with Tristan be a ploy to draw fans in and make them interested in catching the show when it airs in September?

Would we find out how the whole surrogacy thing played out? We sure would like to know!
